I purchased a vs980 LG G2 from Verizon in December of 2013. Last month while I was sitting at my desk it flashed and would not come back on.

I went by Verizon that same day and the service guy told me he suggested a warranty claim through LG because my phone was in mint condition and was not even 6 months old. It was never rooted, dropped, or abused and still had the factory protective plastic on the bezel, back, and around battery. I agreed that a refurbished phone through Verizon would be a waste on money because there was no physical damage anywhere. I then called LG and set up a repair ticket.

I shipped the phone the next day and they kept it for 16 days. I emailed them on the 17th day and they said it was being returned. When I got my device back it was labeled non repairable " Board bent". I immediately called and ask to speak to a supervisor which they transferred me to.

After I explained everything he said it was up to the repair technicians decision on repair. So I ask how does an internal board get bent beyond repair but the glass, lcd, digitizer, camera, battery, and back buttons are in perfect condition. I said it simply doesn't make sense to assume I caused this when everyone knows bending batteries causes shorts, glass and IPS displays shatter. I then ask how did the technician get my device apart but leave the factory protective plastic on it.

He said he didn't know and could only go by what the technician found. I then ask for a second repair by a different technician and the supervisor quickly stated that once a device is labeled non repairable the imei is blacklisted and can never be sent in again. LG warranty service sucks and ill never buy from them again. When i returned to Verizon with the phone they didn't believe I sent it to lg and that's what LG found.

They said the same thing I did how in the world would a board in the center of the phone get damaged but nothing around it. I needed a phone and thanks to a nice Verizon tech he sent me a new phone.ย A brand new lg g2 not refurbished so i guess it paid in the long road but the hassle of LG was enough to not forget. Anyone buying their phones I would seriously reconsider because they get expensive and if it cant handle everyday light use then it should have never been released.ย  LG customer service will pretty much call you the liar and will not help. They simply do not care and until consumer surpasses their technicians I'll try and sway everyone away from LG.

I filed with the BBB and every other place I've found. I believe in quality and LG has NONE

Monetary Loss: $550.

Location: Spartanburg, South Carolina

It's unbelievable that I don't see more complaints about their warranty.

Having to wait 2 weeks is already insane when NOBODY can live without a phone these days. On top of that, it's been 14 days and they haven't even repaired my G6 yet (for a very well known bootloop problem that they have had on ALL THEIR PHONES SINCE THE G2!!!) and can't tell me when I'm going to get it back!

I'm telling EVERYONE to stay away from LG.

YES! I had a charging port of my LG phone, start to go bad early on, took it back to tmobile, bought another charger.

Months later, it was loose it would not charge at all. Tmobile suggested contacting LG, since still under warranty. I jumped through al of their loops to get the phone sent out and mentioned it also had a crack. After having the phone for awhile, I get an estimate for the cracked screen with an estimate of $146 to repair, nothing about the port.

I was then told in under to repair the port [still under warranty], I'd have to pay to get the screen fixed!!! If the port is defective, FIX IT. By the time if this conclusion, the warranty ran out [hmmm, what a coincidence]. No one even gave me their findings on the port and I just got the run around.

They sent the phone back unrepaired, while I was still waiting for an update of the issue being escalated regarding the port. The crack is so fine, I barely knew it was there. The phone otherwise worked perfectly fine, navigation, phone, everything. By the time of their findings, the phone was no longer under warranty [hmmm, coincidence?] Just the charging port.

Then I had to jump through loops trying to get my unrepaired phone kept at Fedex if miss delivery. BUT NO, LG has this contract that does not allow. So I have call everyone trying to get LG to give FED Ex permission to hold my own phone for me, instead of sending back to LG! They should be ashamed of themselves!

No pride in their product or customer service..deserves NO LOYALTY! My first and last LG purchase.

Yea, I sent my phone in for a warranty repair, it would not recognize the battery as being in the phone. It was returned with a "cosmetic defect repaired"?, WTF, plugging it to the charger I found out THEY HAD REPAIRED NOTHING1, when I sent it in I included a very descriptive note about what the problem was as well!.

Now LG service center REFUSES to send me a new/refurbe'd phone, I told the customer service agent that sending it back in a 2nd time would probably result with the same *** *** sending it back to me broken all over again!. Lesson learned, DO NOT BUY LG their repair people have the IQ of s chipmunk.

I sent my LG G4 to LG repair services because the adhesive of the glass became loose and you can push up and down the right side of the display. When I got back they had slightly fixed it but not completely.

So I sent it again with a note paper inside stating the problem of the glass adhesive being loose... (January 14th 2016) - about a week ago, and right now (January 20th 2016) I got an email saying that the phone has completed repairs and it has left the facility and it's on it's way back to me.

BUT the repair says it was a *** "Software Defect".........HOW IS A LOOSE ADHESIVE A SOFTWARE DEFECT!!!!!!?????? I am completely pissed off at this moment and would like to get a new phone asap.
