*** product with crappier service

I purchased an android phone thinking it would be a good product. Instead it was a way to get in touch with the philipines and recieve a headache for free. The staff however underpaid proved you get what you pay for. My phone when talking to someone shuts off while audio is still on. This results in a black screen with no way to hang up nor acess any other apps. When I called NET 10 CUSTOMER CARE(we dont if a ***) they advised me that they would send a phone when I sent this one back. I explained that this was my only way to communicate and acess emails. They said sorry and nobody could help me with the situation I was in. I asked for corporates number and was given a hard time. Finally christine gave me the number. When i called the other number in Miami the manager said she would email the warehouse where all broken promises are stored. Wont hold my breath waiting for the call because i want to live. Instead of LG/Net 10 sub sourcing cheap labor in the philipines why not build a better android with the extra money so you dont have to call customer care where they really dont care anyway. HMMMM

I won\'t be buying an LG tv every again either. We bought a 55 inch LG tv in JUne of 2011.

Exactly 1 year later, it stopped giving us a picture, it was all distorted and garbled.

A TV should last MORE than a year. We had a Panasonic TV that lasted 28 years AND counting.

LG Products and Services

We purchased an LG Large Capacity Top Load Washer two years ago. Within six months the machine literally imploded causing property damage to our home. LG was unrsponsive and Home Depot, being great at customer service, stepped up and replaced the washer. 14 months later the washer is broken again. 4 weeks post breakdown and a lack of customer service, 3 cancelled appointmets by the LG authorizied technician and still not even a date to come fix the machine. I'll have to purchace a new washer this weekend. Rest assured it will not be manufactured by LG. The machine breaking down is bad enough but the utter lack of responsiveness by LG and it's representatives takes the cake. It is obvious to me that they do not stand by their products. If there are any LG rep's reviewing this site I look forward to hearing from someone that has the ability to get things done.

Wow does this sound familiar. My front load machine also imploded - it slowly re-filled with water after a finished load, probably due to a malfunctioning water shut-off valve - until the door burst open and flooded my house.

LG does NOT stand behind their crapola products. This product is still in warranty and they claim it's not their product's fault so they won't cover the damage to my home. They very generously offered to return the malfunctioning parts to me so I could conduct my own testing! Gee, that sounds rather expensive. no thanks, since the damage to my floors is going to be several grand already.

Will NEVER buy LG again, and I'm telling all my friends the same.

Icemaker worthless

purchased an 1800.00 LG refrigerator last year. Icemaker will NOT make a tray of ice in four days. Replaced filter two months ago and info monitor keeps telling me to replace filter. At 50 bucks a pop from Home Depot, I don"t think so. Am ready to donate this piece of junk and buy a dependable fridge from a local dealer. I have to make this at least a hundred words, or so the prompter says. So here goes. I will Never again purchase a LG product. I shboould have stuck with the tried and true brands I an familiar with. Also the Home Depot people should be more informed as to the quality of products they are selling. I have purchased 5 major appliances in the past six years from Home Depot. Never again.

Terrible delivery and follow up

We bought an LG fridge/freezer from HHGregg and paid for delivery. The guys that brought it were surly when we opened the door and got worse from there. They scratched the kitchen floor and didn't tighten the door properly on the fridge. I called the sales person, who tried to put me in touch with the manager who NEVER called. Finally was able to get the name of the delivery people who are CONTRACT workers and do not care. I then called the headquarters of the delivery company, left messages, sent emails and NEVER had a response-- from any one at any level. I will NEVER buy anything from HHGregg again and hope to prevent anyone else from doing the same thing.

French Door fridge

LG has been putting band aids on my 2008, 2300.00 unit for almost 4 years. I am caught between the local service company who has not been paid for his warranty service calls and LG who say too bad, so sad. This unit has gone into over heat since it was plugged in. I have made so many calls with each customer service person teling me they will look into it and call back, they never call back This has been going on and on and I still have a unit that does not work properly. The service guy came out last week said it should be replaced. Since that time all of my calls are passed to someone who will do something and will act on my behalf and they never call back so I need to call back and start all over and be told it is out of warranty and it continues as it has for 3 plus years. I am writing t corporate today. I have not side byside fridge freezer, not working.

60 plasma tv

Bought a 60" LG Plasma TV 2 months old from a divorcing couple leaving states. Failed to get receipt TV is 9 months old and started flashing red. LG refusing to help as I am not original owner. Only wanting them to stand behind parts as obviously one has failed . No, No , No is all I heard. July 2011 Manufactured date is clearly stamped on back. A sympathic ear even told me he would ok a repair from a local repair and I told him about buying it 2nd hand. He later denied when upper mgmt questioned him. Local shop cannot figure out strange problem and it looks like iwe will have to just buy a new one again. This bad experience will make me overlook LG from now on. Always buy la good warranty. I will avoid LG from now on as I believe if they cant stand behind a product for at least a year 1st or 2nd owner should not matter.

LG Topload Washers are garbage!

I purchased a LG Tromm about 4 years ago. It has been a living nightmare ever since. The machine does not clean, I have stains left on my clothes that won't come out. It leaks water out of the bottom. I also get holes in my clothes now. I just bought a new shirt two week ago, washed it only twice and I have to throw it out because of *** I believe this is due to the lack of water and how the clothes tumble while washing, too much friction on the fabrics! Also the smell is just awful. I have had to replace all of my towels because they smelled of mildew! I have followed all the instructions and "tips" given by LG and nothing has changed. I have been doing laundry the same way with the same detergent for 15 years and I have NEVER had problems like these. DO NOT buy one of these washers. DO NOT buy ANY LG Toploaders!!!! You will regret it!

LG sucks....

I bought an LG vacuum from Home depot it didn't last a year so I sent it back to get it fixed. The rep I first spoke with said it would take 14 days to get it fixed and returned, Wow not bad right.. Well after sending it back 3 weeks went by and I didn't hear anything so I called. The rep said it was fixed and ready to be shipped.NICE...two weeks went by???? I called this rep said it was still in the shop and they didn't think it could be fixed so they would just send a new vacuum.OK great we will ship it right out he said 2-3 days we would have a new Vacuum... By this time my wife is beside her self.... a week went by I called still no vacuum?? the rep this time said this vacuum wasn't made any longer and they would have to see what they could do. Had to talk to a higher up. We they are now going to cut me a check. This has been one of the worst customer service I have ever had. LG makes a good product but really needs to work on what matters and that is much better customer service if they ever want to be on top.....

Bought an LG LDF6810ST dishwasher back in 2006. Had a service guy replace the motherboard (wires burned the insulation inside the door, btw)in 2010.

Hasn't worked since. I decided that since i was finally back to work, I would spend a little more money on either fixing it or buying a new dishwasher -NOT AN LG ONE!

Anyway, i opened the bottom wash drum thingy, and discovered that the heating element burned *** through another plastic part, causing a very dangerous situation! This brand sucks hard.

Don't ever buy a front loading washing machine from these clowns.

Mine malfunctioned (probably a faulty water control valve) and flooded 3 rooms in my home, destroying my floors. Even though the product was about 7 months old and under warranty, they wouldn't cover the damage. Said it wasn't their fault as they couldn't replicate the issue while testing out my parts. What is the warranty for, again?

I will never buy another LG product, especially after speaking to a friend today who bought a refrigerator that was a joke - didn't work after two weeks, got a replacement and that one didn't work.

What happened to good old American ingenuity and manufacturing? Oh yeah, it's done in Korea. Even Sears Kenmore products. Great. :(

LG does suck. I bought a ref within warranty I ask them to inspect it.

They refuse to attend to it. LG is a capital SUCK

LG Tells lies followed by poor customer service

I have a 42" LG TV that has a mind of its own. It scrolls through the entire on-screen memory all by itself even lowers the volume to 0 without pressing a single button! At first LG's customer service said "its more than a year old so its out of guarantee". I was happy to prove to them that they not only produce faulty goods that do not comply with the Sale of Goods Act but they are liars as well. Why? well the guarantee is for two years! When this was pointed out they claimed that guarantee are provided as goodwill. Really! Try reading various official websites and you'll find that a gurantee is a legal contract once it is issued. So LG do you think you are above the law? Best advice to potential customers is watch LG because if they can shirk their legal reponsibilities - the'll make an eel look as sold is a rock! (excuse the mixed metaphors)

Try taking the batteries out of the remote. The remote may be erroneously sending signals to the TV. If it stops you have your answer.

Horrible Customer Service

We purchased a LG refrigerator and when the installer came to hook it up he said there was a defect on the ice and water tube and said it could not be fixed and put on the order to bring out a new refrigerator. Whe no one came out with the new refrigerator we called and were told we had not called within the 48 hour period and would not replace the refrig. I asked to speak to a supervisror and was told they weren't available and they would tell me the same thing. So we purchased a new refrig that we havn't even used yet and it is defective. I cannot believe that this is the way they treat customers.

LG can Kiss My ***

LG Corporate blew me off and could care less about you as a consumer. A few years ago I purchased an LG Refrigerator. Within 3 months of ownership the problems began. I called for warranty service (Home Depot/GE extended warranty) and when the repairman arrived he took one look and said "I can't fix this, it's an LG. Only LG certified technicians can repair and order parts for LG products". I called the warranty service company and they could only refer me to shops that were outside my service area (Seattle, WA). What this meant was, that there were not any "LG certified" technicians in Seattle. What? No techs in a Major metropolitan city? How can you sell a product in a major U.S. city and not have anybody to service the product. I sent an email to LG Corporate asking what they were going to do for me and how I could get my fridge repaired. Their reply was simply..."call your extended warranty company". Wow! I never even mentioned having an extended warranty and they didn't even bother to ask questions or even bother with a "Sorry"....nope, just "call your extended warranty company". SCREW LG....now they have a Class Action Lawsuit for this product and have to extend their original warranty in order to allow consumers to get (or try to get) their refrigerator repaired with an new and improved part. Corporate America really sucks...The consumer can just live with *** products and the Executives just keep getting rich.

LG PRODUCTS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCK

LG Customer Service is absolutely the worst I have ever experienced. I had contacted them twice about issues with their inferior appliances. Both times they dispatched a technician from one of their local incompetent servicing companies. When the technician arrived to respond to our first issue, all he did was turn on the appliance and advised us that it was working. He never mentioned or addressed he issue we called to have diagnosed and resolved. When we contacted LG, their explanation was that the technician reported the appliance was working properly. The technician provided that brilliant diagnosis in less than 5 minutes and when we asked how that we resolve our issue, his response was to read the owners manual. When the technician arrived to diagnose the second issue, it took him about 2 minutes to advise that he needed to order a part to resolve our issue. After a few weeks we contacted LG and we were advised to call their local incompetent servicing company. We were once again advised that they were waiting for the part. We were advised to call the following week for an update. When we called the following week, we were once again advised that they were wait9ing for the part. This went on for a few more weeks and finally the incompetent servicing company suggested that we contact the idiots at LG. When we called LG, we were advised that there was never an order placed for a part and that this ticket was closed because of the information that was submitted by their incompetent servicing company. I called the service company to confirm if the technician's report included any information that would cause LG to authorize the repair. The service company assured me that their report did not contain any information that would cause LG to refuse to repair the appliance and that they were never advised that the part as not ordered or that the ticket was closed. None of our issues have been resolved. We were instructed to work with their local incompetent service companies if we had questions about the service that was performed or to obtain updates. On both issues, we spent weeks trying to resolve the issues locally with the local incompetent service organizations and were eventually refereed back to LG customer service to escalate the issues. We were then advised that the tickets were closed and that they were not going to honor the complaints because the appliance were now out of warranty even though they acknowledged that we advised them of the issues before the expiration of the warranty. Regardless of how we explained the events, it was obvious that the customer service agents I have spoken to are no more capable than an untrained monkey. Their supervisors are not any better. LG does not stand by their products and they try to blame problems with their inferior appliances on the owners. DO NOT PURCHSE LG APPLAINCES. THEY MAY LOOK FANCY BUT THEY ARE STILL THE SAME *** LUCKY GOLDSTAR MANUFACTURED FOR YEARS BEFORE THEY DECIDED TO RE-INVENT THE COMPANY AND MANUFACTURE FANCY LOOKING PRODUCTS..

I've had similar experiences and also will NEVER purchase LG again.

The servicer most likely is not the problem!

I work as a LG contractor there is no parts or tech support, getting paid is a struggle, and they just don't give a ***! There should be standards applied to them just like the US manufacturers have to abide to! And mostly big box stores sell this sht and they also are

useless

Same as everybody else. Bought $over $13,000 in LG appliances, All top of the line.

Refregerator, Stove, Dishwasher, Washer, Dryer, Microwave. My refrigerator has leaked water 4 different times, and has Severely damaged my floor. I purchased an extended warranty on all appliances. The refrigerator has leaked from, you name it, from faulty water lines, faulty icemaker, cracked water valve.

Now my Dishwasher is leaking around the bottom seal of the door. This LG stuff is PURE ***!! I am getting ...a complete runaround on them fixing my floor, due to the damage. I wish there was a class action Law Suit I could join.

I am seriously debating an attorney myself. I am SERIOUS TO EVERYONE. If you are in the market for new appliances.

DON"T BUY LG Products!!! You will be sorry you did, Trust me and everyone else here and all over the internet.

LG diswasher

Ridiculous manufacturer of kitchen appliances. I purchase a an LG dishwasher (with stove/micro/and refrigerator) from HD in 2007 and within the first year of use the motor went out and had to be replaced. Okay I guess I could live with that because it was still under warranty. Next, the hose that removes the dish water (after its wash cycle) cracked. It leaked behind the dishwasher apparently for months before I noticed. It wasn't until after the crack in the hose became so big that eventually water was on the kitchen floor. After I removed the dw and inspected, the leaky water had accumulated and crept its way up the drywall behind the kitchen cabinets. Yup, I had to remove the rotted drywall (mil-due) replace and replace the hose (no longer under warranty). Turned out that upon inspection of the hose a simple bend would snap the hose completely (cheap material). Do you think the story is over? Not quite. Next the front door to the dw busted. Upon removal and inspection (by me) two straps that are used for counter balancing the weight of the door had worn and frayed. Again, cheap material and poor engineering. I tried to fix using a replacement but to no avail the nylon string just frayed and broke again. Without this mechanism the door weighs 100 lbs. Well, today is the day that broke the camels back. As my lovely wife just put away her tea cup in the dw, apparently she did not close the door tight enough. As she was walking away the door fell open and crushed her on her Achilles tendon. This frightened me to no end being that her Achilles was badly scraped not to mention the excruciating pain she was in. Right now she is lying on the sofa with a bag of ice on her achilles. I do not know if she is badly hurt or if this injury will just leave her with some bruising and discomfort for a few days. It is too early to tell. As you can tell I can not get out my frustration over this poor excuse of a machine and company in just 100 words. Buyer beware. DO NOT BUY LG. As for me, I will be seeking legal counsel and pursue suing this company under lemon law consumer protection rights.

LG Electronics

Please take my advice. Don't buy an LG tv. I paid over $3,000 for a 50 inch plasma in Dec 2006. I also bought a 4 year extended warrantee from the dealer. It broke down two months later and LG replaced it. Now the replacement has broken down twice since. Now the 2 year warrantee is up and the dealer i bought from went bankrupt and no one will cover the warrantee. Ive contacted LG numerous times about the piece of *** i bought from them and they told me I'm *** out of luck. I bought a lemon. I guess I got two lemons. Coincidence? I think not. It's going out on the curb tonight. Don't buy LG.
