LG has horrible customer service | Lg Electronics review from Geneva, Illinois
My NEW LG washer is broken. LG will not schedule a repair until I tell them the serial number. LG put the serial number on the BACK of the machine. How am I supposed to get to it?? why do they put it on the back in the first place?? Why can't they schedule service and the technician can move the machine and verify the serial number?? I have called customer service three times. All they keep telling me is to move the machine. It is filled with water, in a tight spot, and I am not that strong.

My washing machine, under a maintenance contract, has problems for over 2 months. It had a leakage and the technician wanted to use M-Seal, a sealant instead of replacing the part. This is indicative of bad training to technicians. He informed that he would visit the next day and correct. He did not come for 3 weeks. When I called the call centre, I was surprised to note that the call was closed. I had no option but to log another call. The technician visited, noted down the pat number and promised replacement in a day or two. It took longer but when the technician visited again with the part, it would not fit so again a few more days delay to get the right part. When it was being fitted, I pointed out that the temperature *** was stuck at 60 degrees and cannot be set at 30 degrees. He asked to lodge another complaint. After doing so, took a few days to change the panel. It worked for 2 days and then the machine went dead. Yet another complaint was lodged on the 7th December, 2011 but the machine is still not working. After changing the panel, the machine was giving 'door open' error. In the next few days, the engineer changed the switch, the sensor, checked the electrical wiring, got another senior technician but they could not repair the machine. I was told that the machine will need to be sent back to LG's workshop and promised replacement. The replacement came after 3 days but instead. Of sending a front loading machine, they sent a top loading machine which would not fit under the counter. I am quite fed up of their inefficiency

I have just purchased an lg gas range model LRG3093ST from home depot 10 days ago, i was in the process of cooking and the oven just stopped. I called LG they gave me a name of a service company that does not even go into our state.... We contacted home depot, and all I'm getting is a run around and here it is just days before Christmas and i have no oven and company coming. DO NOT BUY LG their service is terrible and their product is very disappointing. sorry I purchased an LG appliance very very angry about this

LG Customer Service is absolutely the worst I have ever experienced. I had contacted them twice about issues with their inferior appliances. Both times they dispatched a technician from one of their local incompetent servicing companies. When the technician arrived to respond to our first issue, all he did was turn on the appliance and advised us that it was working. He never mentioned or addressed he issue we called to have diagnosed and resolved. When we contacted LG, their explanation was that the technician reported the appliance was working properly. The technician provided that brilliant diagnosis in less than 5 minutes and when we asked how that we resolve our issue, his response was to read the owners manual. When the technician arrived to diagnose the second issue, it took him about 2 minutes to advise that he needed to order a part to resolve our issue. After a few weeks we contacted LG and we were advised to call their local incompetent servicing company. We were once again advised that they were waiting for the part. We were advised to call the following week for an update. When we called the following week, we were once again advised that they were wait9ing for the part. This went on for a few more weeks and finally the incompetent servicing company suggested that we contact the idiots at LG. When we called LG, we were advised that there was never an order placed for a part and that this ticket was closed because of the information that was submitted by their incompetent servicing company. I called the service company to confirm if the technician's report included any information that would cause LG to authorize the repair. The service company assured me that their report did not contain any information that would cause LG to refuse to repair the appliance and that they were never advised that the part as not ordered or that the ticket was closed. None of our issues have been resolved. We were instructed to work with their local incompetent service companies if we had questions about the service that was performed or to obtain updates. On both issues, we spent weeks trying to resolve the issues locally with the local incompetent service organizations and were eventually refereed back to LG customer service to escalate the issues. We were then advised that the tickets were closed and that they were not going to honor the complaints because the appliance were now out of warranty even though they acknowledged that we advised them of the issues before the expiration of the warranty. Regardless of how we explained the events, it was obvious that the customer service agents I have spoken to are no more capable than an untrained monkey. Their supervisors are not any better. LG does not stand by their products and they try to blame problems with their inferior appliances on the owners. DO NOT PURCHSE LG APPLAINCES. THEY MAY LOOK FANCY BUT THEY ARE STILL THE SAME *** LUCKY GOLDSTAR MANUFACTURED FOR YEARS BEFORE THEY DECIDED TO RE-INVENT THE COMPANY AND MANUFACTURE FANCY LOOKING PRODUCTS..

Don't waste your money buying maintenance contracts from Conn's! | Lg Electronics review from Austin, Texas
We purchased an LG washer and dryer from Conn's, along with a $350 maintenace contract. The inlet valve is leaking and we can't get it fixed. TWO WEEKS after the initial call, their excuse is, "We're waiting for authorization to go buy the part. They can MAKE a water inlet valve in less than two weeks! Every time I call "customer service" (six time so far), they tell me they will pass it on to management, and someone should call me back the next morning. Two weeks have gone by and NO ONE has bothered calling. I can't bankrupt Conn's, but I will can definitely make known their extremely poor customer service practices.

i bought an automatic lg machine 6 years back.it provided good service to me, but now i am struck up as its parts are not available even with thier official repair centres. i don't know what to do???????? spare supportability of lg equipment has remain a problematic area in pakistan.although lg is a good brand ,however there is a dire need to improve the after sales services in pakistan. i will appreciate if any body can help me by comming up with a solution to the problem that i am facing at the moment. even if someone from lg can contact me for help, my address is: firstname.lastname@example.org

i recently bought a lg washer lg appliances are the worst appliances that you could buy ,also there are no parts distributers in chicago that sell parts because lg does not allow their parts to be sold unless they are factory service center for them thats a bunch of b s BEWARE CONSUMERS DO NOT BUY L G APPLIANCES THEY ARE *** ! ! ! the washer does not wash good and it smells like a sewer if not used all the time the lg dihwasher is a joke in it self its so noisy when its running that i cant hear myself thinki would never buy lg appliances again

Highend LG microwave not up to snuff. LG acted as if i was worthless as a client. BBB contact ignored until contacted then denied @days later without reasonable consideration. They seem to not give a d#%n about my concerns. The BBB rep. in Huntsville Al. seemed overly bias, going as far as not understanding the basis of the complaint. Model #LRM2060ST over defrosts food, even with proper weight and time as recommended by manual provided by LG. Contact of customer service office was met with a scripted response. LG just acted childish about the issue. Is their a bias in Huntsville?

I purchased and LG refrigerator, washer and dryer. The washer always leaves water standing so I have to keep the door open to prevent it smelling like a swamp. I often have to re-wash a load to eliminate the smell. Lately, it's almost impossible to get a load done in one try. It gives me a '1E' message toward the end of the cycle. The clothes are dripping, and I have to rerun the load, sometimes 2 or 3 times, to actually get it to spin the water out correctly. Of course, there's no 'spin only' selection, so this is costly in terms of electricity and water. The dispenser doesn't work for the detergent, so I have to place detergent directly into the washer. As for the refrigerator, the icemaker stoped working just after the warranty expired. Even the repairman thought it would be covered since it was so close, but NO. They wanted $750 to repair it. Guess what? I left it when we moved and bought an Amana. Never again will I purchase an LG product! They are pooorly made, they don't stand behind their products, and customer service is a complete joke.

In June 2010, I purchased an LG air conditioner. Over the next 13 months, I used the unit for 5 months. Then it broke. I called LG. They provided terrible customer service and refused to make an exception on the limited warranty.
