Lg Electronics in Pensacola, Florida - Terrible customer service from LG

The following is a note I just sent off to LG.My advice is to stay far away from them if you think you might ever need customer no service. >>I have just had three days of the worst customer service imaginable.First we contacted LG for warranty repair. After being on hold three times and jumping through all the required hoops,we were given a phone number for Best Services.Best Services is a complete joke and should be called Worst Service. After unkept promises of call backs after we provided all documentation by fax and email we finally gave up and returned the unit to Home Depot where we were given a new unit.Three cheers for HD and *** on both LG and their partner in crime,Best Services.

Lg Electronics in Rochester, New York - Poor warranty service on an LG dehumidifier

In August 2009 my wife and I bought an LG LHD45EL humidifier that worked fine until several weeks ago. We used it to keep our finished full basement dry, and it did a fine job until several weeks ago when we noticed humidity rising and a sour smell in the air that we'd never had before. Turns out the unit's fan was running, but not the cooling system. The unit has a five-year-warranty so we called LG and were told to take it to a service center a half-hour drive away to determine the problem. It was a bad evaporation coil, we were told, and would need to be replaced. Fine, I thought, LG would OK a replacement by Home Depot where we bought it. Also, time was running short. Humidity was fast getting worse by the day and we had guests coming within a week. Nope. We talked with three different LG representatives who sounded helpful but really weren't when we explained our need for a replacement soon. I mean, how many people have dehumidifiers without depending on them? Here's how they honor a 5 year warranty when the unit breaks after less than 2 years: They mail you a form where you choose whether you want "repair and return" or a "reconditioned unit replacement." Then sign and date it and mail it back. I mean, mail it in the Internet age? Oh yeah, you can fax it. They give a number, but they note that postal mail is "most efficient." OK, so the first letter took a week to get to us. And if we would have followed through, I'm sure it would have taken another week to get back to them, plus they advised that it would take up to two weeks more to ship a replacement "" that had already been authorized a month before! And what we'd get would be a reconditioned unit just like what we had! Who'd want that? By that time, our finished basement would probably be a mass of black mold. No amount of pleading would make the LG reps budge. No, we couldn't take the service center's authorization to Home Depot to replace there. Some friends told us, why don't you just buy another one and junk it "" it's only $200 for pete's sake. Only $200? In these horrible economic times? Sadly, I'm afraid LG may be counting on people to do just that with their convoluted warranty-replacement process. And I'm sure hundreds of people do, saving LG big bucks and headaches. So what did WE do? We went to the Home Depot store, explained our dilemma and how we'd been mistreated by LG. Finally, a sympathetic department manager offered to replace it right now with another brand, same 45 pint size. GREAT! Like I'm not crazy about getting another LG anyway. Two days later our Soleus Air had the basement dried out and has been running like a champ for two weeks. So is it a cheap replacement that won't last as long as the LG? We'll see. I'd bet against that. And a big thanks to Home Depot, too. The LG "please check your best suited decision" is still in my bad-products file, unsigned, so I don't forget next time I might want to look at an LG product.

Lg Electronics in Los Angeles, California - LG did not warrant a 1 year manufacturer's warranty

LG HBS-700 Complaint: I bought and once loved my LG HBS-700 bluetooth stereo headset. I recommended it to all my friends. After knowing that I loved and would not want to return it I did not keep my reciept. I assumed that all manufacturers stand behind their product for 1 year. It has been on the market less than a year so they know that there is no question about age of product. Hence, I am bumm out of luck. they will not look at it without a receipt. This sucks. It only lasted for 3 months. I would not longer recommend it to anyone as 3 months is not a long time. It cost 70 bucks. i can see why it is fragile as the ear wires dangle far too much around your neck. bad design. Look elswhere. And save your receipts for everything.

Lg Electronics in Norfolk, Massachusetts - More Than 3 Weeks To Fix My LG Gas Dryer!

I bought a LG Dryer from Home Depot in March of 2010. Consumer Reports had rated it as better than average so we went with it. We then decided to purchase the matching washing machine. About a month ago, my wife smelled gas by the dryer. I checked all the connections and cleaned the exhaust vent. This seemed to fix the issue. One week after, she smelled the gas again - first outside coming from the vent and also inside by the dryer. I immediately shut-off the gas, let the room clear of the smell and then turned the gas back on. We didn't smell anything. So my attention turned to the dryer and started to research on the web what would cause this condition. It didn't take me long to determine that LG had a few issues with this dryer. One gentlemen reported almost the same conditions I was experiencing and after several attempts to correct the problem, the technician replaced the controller board (a $200 item). The other issue was the drum weld which would let go (I didn't have that issue). So I contacted LG support who quickly informed me that my warranty had run out but they may extend it based on a decision made but a supervisor. I was told this process takes 3 to 5 business days. I was also told to send them a quick summary of what happened and to attach a copy of my receipt which I did. After the sixth day, I hadn't heard anything, I again contacted the same Service Advisor. She informed me that to resend the email because she couldn't open the attachment! I sent it again. That evening I called LG again and got another service representative. He apologized and asked me to send him the email. He opened it on the phone and had no problems. I received the news that LG would extend my warranty and was told to contact them to setup an appointment for service. I called and LG gave me 2 companies in my area for service. I called the first who informed me that they no longer supported LG products. I called the second and he informed me that he would be out on Saturday (2 days from now). The tech came out on Saturday and determined that the controller board was bad and he would call me in 3 to 5 business days when the part comes in! My expectation was he would repair the dryer that day, not just evaluate it! I called LG and asked for a supervisor. Some fifteen minutes later, he got on and then explained to me this is the process and there's no way around it. I have an extensive Service Delivery background and we discussed the pros and cons of their process passionlessly! It was the holiday weekend and the part couldn't be ordered until Tuesday. I asked that the part be shipped over night (which I had to pay for) with the hope we could be drying cloths by Wednesday. The tech was suppose to call me on Tuesday to inform me the part was ordered which he didn't do. I called the tech on Wednesday and he informed me that the part had not been ordered and there was a financial issue with LG! He also told me that I may have to find another technician (which LG said I couldn't do once the extended warranty number was given to this tech). I called LG again and I asked for a supervisor. She finally got on and I explained the latest issue. She asked if I minded waiting on hold. After almost 20 mins on hold , she came back and said she was still working the issue and would call me back which she did in about 45 mins. She informed me that the issues were corrected with the tech and he would order the part over night and call me the next day to schedule an appointment. The tech called the next morning and informed my wife that the part had come in and he would be by to install it between 2 and 4pm. I took vacation time off from work to ensure I would be available when he showed up. When I got home, (around 3pm) I had a message on the phone from the tech informing us that the part hadn't come in and he had to reschedule for the next day. I called the tech and wanted assurance that he would be at my house at a specific time. He said he would call me when the part arrived and then come over and install it. I left work at 2pm and called the tech. The part hadn't arrived yet via UPS. I asked if he had a tracking number. He only had an order number and he was attempting to contact UPS. While I was on the phone with LG, the tech called me back informing me that he had received the part and was in route to my house. The part did fix my problem. LG has lost a customer because of their lack of customer focus, their lack of communication and most importantly their lack of concern that one of their customers were down for almost a month. I will never purchase an LG product and suggest you don't. We as consumers need to stand together and demand quality products and when they break, quality service to back-up their product. The lack of concern was amazing – hiding behind their processes is not the answer! By saying they're sorry we're going threw this and then not working with you to fix it is unacceptable. Finally the call waiting music SUCKS!!! They should rename the company to NLG (Not Living Good)

Lg Electronics in Crossville, Alabama - Lg don't fall for them

Have an lG washer and dryer cost 1000.00 each or over it less than two years old. Having trouble getting it fixed can't even find someone to fix it hardly. LG won't honor the warranty without paperwork, those things have a manufactured date on those.. They kept trying to send us to a repair guy in Tenn. at the memphis line. LG phones are great the appliances we have dealt with are a joke...... The help lines are a joke also. I figured when you paid that much for something it would work....... bought it from HH Gregg.

Lg Electronics in Truckee, California - LG - Not Worthy Of Praise!

I bought a LG Refrigerator and it needed service for a bushing off the fan right away. It would not cool , ruined $80 of food. No one cares! Now it vibrates and I can even hear it downstairs, real sweet. I wrote a review on LG site and it was rejected because I told the truth. I am sick and tired of this quality coming in from Asia, it is awful! Nothing is any good any more. Nothing is pleasing and worth bringing home. Most appliances work only 7 years I was told, that is criminal and LG is just another in a long line of bad Asian products. They sure don't like their deserved criticism, that is a given! Very very unhappy with this.

Lg Electronics in Atlanta, Georgia - LG 32" LCD TV sensor in TV not picking up remote signal.

6-22-11 the LG LCD TV, purchased 10-18-10, quit working via the remote. I called the tech support and was run through a bunch of tests after which they decide it's the TV and not the remote causing the problem. I have to wait 3-5 business days for the company to find a repairman to come fix the TV. I live out in the middle of nowhere and it's the end of day 4 and still no results after repeats emails and phone calls. LG customer service is the pits. So my next step is the state attorney generals office of consumer affairs.

Lg Electronics in Columbus, Ohio - Poor product performance

I would think twice before purchasing an LG flatscreen TV. About 3 years ago I purchased a LG 47" flatscreen TV for in excess of $1800. It has been lightly used. Just recently, it started malfunctioning badly and the retailer tells me the cost of repair would be prohibitive. He suggests I use it as is until it totally quits functioning and then throw it in the trash and buy a new one (guarantee in won't be an LG). Three months ago I bought a 32" LG flatscreen TV for another room in my home. Within 5 weeks of purchase, it totally quit working. This stuff is JUNK!!

Lg Electronics in Burlington, Vermont - Do not purchase LG appliance

My LG French Door refrigerator had a sensor replaced by the local factory authorized service provider on three occasions. The first two replacements resulted in the refrigerator being 17 degrees and 14 degrees respectively and freezing everything solid. LG was providing the incorrect part number on their website. The third replacement has refrigerator back as a refrigerator but LG is unwilling to acknowledge in responsibility for the error to offer compensation for roughly $75 worth of food, wine & a ZeroWater pitcher that were destroyed by freezing. I have called customer service, the technicians have called and the office manager of the local company have all called, attempting to resolve the issue. LG just keep robotically repeating that the refrigerator is out of warranty so there is nothing they can do. I cannot get them to understand that the warranty is not the issue-their giving out the wrong part number on their website is the problem. They confused that I would even contact them about this. Do not purchase LG products. The local company said they have more trouble with LG and Samsung products than any others and that their customer service is a joke.

I agree with you on the Samsung products---I bought a smooth top range two years ago and we have yet to be able to have the thing keep an even temp in the oven. Very poor quality.

Samsung is a Korean company and makes alot of electronic products, tho cheaply and not very well if I may say so given the junk I have seen from them.

Thanks for the tip.
