Our refrigerator failed and was repaired. It failed again and we called for service.

The tech scheduled two appointments and failed to call and show up for either of them. We finally spoke with a supervisor who made a third appointment with the same guy for another week later. I asked for the tech's contact info as well as the supervisor I spoke to, and also his supervisor's contact info. He refused to give me any direct contact information.

This is terrible service on a terrible product!

Never again!! I'm going back to GE!!

Mine too after only 3 months! Turned out it was allegedly a manufacturing defect, all the freon had leaked out if it.

I lost over 200.00 worth of food because the technician couldn't come out until 5 days later. I had to give food away instead of letting it spoil. Even when the tech did come out, I still had to edit an additional 2 days to get the part in. I had purchased the extended warranty too!!!

I wrote a letter of complaint to see if I would he refunded the cost of food. I also spoke with 3 different customer service reps, twice I was told yes I would be reimbursed & 1 told me flat out NO.

7 mos. later, still no response or reimbursement!

I have the same exact situation- Bought LG French door 2 draws 4K 3/2016 Ice maker broke 10/2016 then the worst happened , I had replace 2X the compressor- but could not get top fridge to cool, sub contractor came to replace 2 huge parts in the inside top back ( THE FANS) - still could not cool- LG came back then and repair man said it could not be fixed- Now I am getting the run around LG scheduled me for another LG repair date 6/25/19- I am not a millionaire- cannot afford to buy another Fridge - What can I do?

Brand new LG fridge installed and motor is so loud, no one can sleep, even though the bedrooms are nowhere near the kitchen. Called LG and got rude, confusing and inadequate response even though the fridge was installed just the day before. 3 weeks later and still no help from LG. I spoke with 2 "supervisors" at LG, one who hung up on me and the other who gave me incorrect information about referral to a local repair company. I just discovered they gave me the incorrect phone number for the repair company and failed to send the paperwork to them. I think they just try to annoy their customers so they won't have to pay for repairs. Don't think you are saving money with LG products!!!! If they don't function and they don't provide adequate support, it's just a waste of money

You can claim the food loss on your homeowner's insurance in most cases. Just a thought, tho by doing so you not only may increase your premium next year or you will have one "strike" lodged against you and after a certain number of claims, they will drop you like a rock.

Regarding the fridge, it appears the tech didn't secure the compressor properly and thus, the noise and rattling. This happens with semi-qualified repairmen. Good luck.

Next time, buy a simple, no bells and whistles appliance for a much cheaper price and throw it out when it breaks. Remember this when the unit breaks in the near future and it is not covered under warranty.

I purchased a $3500 LG Counter Depth Refrigerator in Oct.2014. In April, ice was forming behind the crisper and deli drawers seizing up the fan and the drain and hence NOT cooling the food. I bought it from Sears who sent their technician to repair it. It took 10 days to get the parts and the service. The frig had to be completely emptied (huge hassle) and the service visit was over 3 hours. They replaced and sealed the back panel. FOUR MONTHS LATER, it is happening again. LG customer support have not been helpful. In fact, they turned me down when I asked them to extend the warranty for this KNOWN issue. They are offering me $130 for food loss and that is IT. Their one yr. warranty requires FOUR service calls before the item is deemed a LEMON. My warranty expires in 6 weeks and I am basically out $3500. I highly recommend NOT buying this or ANY LG Product.
