As I write this to you, my husband just spent another Saturday working on our LG Frontload washer trying to fix the ring that goes around the grey tubing) (door boot seal. He spent 8 hours trying to get the spring to hold the ring on.
Previously he spent 7 hours trying to put it on. He got it on only to have it slip off and break. He then had to order another one which was $150. He received the kit only to discover after putting it on that he had been sent the wrong model for the repair.
He figured this out on his own when it was rubbing as the washer began its first cycle. We were shocked when we called to order a new door boot seal and were told that this particular model has been discontinued. To add insult to injury, the parts to repair this model have also been discontinued. So we have a brand new, one year old, LG frontload washer, that doesn't work.
We had an LG before this one that lasted for 12 years! Hindsight is 20/20. We should have kept it and just had it repaired. We would be very appreciative if you could replace our LG frontload, discontinued model, with a new machine.
We like how your last LG frontload performed and would like another. Would you consider obliging us and replacing our discontinued model?
User's recommendation: Do not buy an LG frontload washer.
Monetary Loss: $800.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Lg Electronics Pros: Older models worked well.
