After having an issue with my LG Smart TV, I call LG technical service to get a tech to come to my house to fix it. The call was taken from someone in India, and after explain the issue, the guy tells that the mother board need to be replaced, the technician will be able to come the next day between 8:00am to 12:00 and the cost is $297.00. I paid with my credit card and I thought that the issue would be resolved the next day. Not so easy!!! After calling LG, as of now, I have been on the phone 2 hours and 58 minutes and keep being transferred from department to department. The only words I hear is I apologize but no one does anything! At this point I just hope to get a refund and will take my tv to the Best Buy or will throw it in the trash along with all LG! I am still on the phone trying to get the refund after 3 hours as of now! Incredible and truly horrible service! Now I have to call again another number! If you read this post DO NOT ever buy LG products! Spend your money in a company that has better service! LG NEVER again!!

Lg Electronics in Tampa, Florida - LG TV Stand design flaw.

I purchased a LG 60" 1080P SMART Plasma TV (net weight: 77.2 pounds) on Dec 6 2014 for Xmas. I mounted it on the (5 pound) plastic stand provided and used the 3 screws that came with it. There’s a design flaw right there. Mounting a 77.2 pound 60” TV on a 5 pound plastic base held by only 3 screws (Samsung uses 6) which is screwed into an ALL plastic meets plastic base top and bottom, but I digress. Less than 2 1/2 months later at 2 a.m. one night, we heard a big crash in the living room. My first thought was that someone had broken into my house. When I went into the living room I saw the LG TV lying flat on the floor. I took a few pictures with my smart phone of the TV, stand, and the shattered plastic inside the top of the stand itself. (The section on the base of the TV that fits into the stand that required the 3 screws shattered into many pieces). Now, my nightmare really begins. I called 1.800.234.000, LG Service Representative Department which connected me to an oversea call center located in the Philippines. After many attempts to explain my concerns, I was transfer twice and remained on hold for over 30 minutes or so. I final got to speak to someone of authority and he asked me to go their website and explain the problem and also send pictures of which I immediately did. Then they agree to send a TV technician to, “investigate the problem.” As the days grew, no technician yet, I received call from their LG tech support to tell me that they recommend that I should have wall-mounted the TV. I said, “Then why is it that you provide your customers with a stand? He have no answer for that. Besides, it says in the owner’s manual Section: Setting Up The TV, quote: “You can mount your TV to the wall or attach the stand if you wish to place the TV on an entertainer center or other furniture.” Still no answer for that tidbit of information from the LG manual instructions. (They should really know their product better than that.) Then a yesterday, a TV repair technician named Ron came and analysis, investigated, scrutinized and took a few pictures of the TV, the plastic stand and fittings and came to the conclusion that the screws gave out and that the TV fell. He saw no customer error there as he stated to me. Listen, I have no little kids running around the house. No 100 lb. dog. That could have knock the TV over. Gee whiz. Ron’s boss Phil called today and submitted Ron’s report to LG. After 45 mins. of transfers and being on hold, the person on the LG Support side said NO. He stated that “It was the customer fault for tightening the screws too tight! So they were not responsible.” Say what?! So what torque value I should have used again? I hand screwed them in and DID NOT use a power drill. I called this afternoon and insisted that I speak to a customer support person in the USA. After a 20 min. wait I finally spoke with a Rep named Willie out of Alabama. He promised me that he would call the TV repair technician that came to my house and look into it the matter further. I will never buy a LG product again. I will not, would not recommend LG to anyone. I’ll keep you posted to see if Willie from Alabama can help. My advice to you….buy Samsung. I have a 55” Samsung TV mounted on its stand in the back of a Samsung Sound Bar and it’s still on it after 3 years of hundreds of loud, shoot’em up movies and TV shows!

Lg Electronics in Saint Petersburg, Florida - LG 50" Plasma 3D Smart HDTV Broke 3x within 15 Months!

My 50PM6700's plasma screen panel failed 2 times during the 1 year warranty and a 3rd time 2.5 months after my warranty expired. Now they won't fix or replace this piece of *** which has now failed 3 times within 15 months. If I paid for the repair myself, it would come to $400 - $700. I can buy a new TV for that! They should change their slogan to: "Life Sucks with LG." It would at least be correct. I can not believe that companies can sell expensive *** and get away with it. WILL NEVER BUY LG AGAIN AND WILL ADVISE EVERYONE AGAINST IT!!! DO NOT BUY AN LG HDTV, YOU WILL REGRET IT!

I have to retract my above review/comment. After several phone calls, LG gave me an extended 30-day warranty.

Their LG tech came by promptly and could not fix the problem. Today I received a call from LG and they will refund the purchase price to me. I must say that is not what I wanted, because the plasma TV was awesome, when it worked. However, at least we came to an amicable resolution and I am getting my money back.

Thank you, LG. You are a good company after all.

I bought a LG. 47 ". Modle47LM6700 it worked great for 2 months then I started having trouble with has it look at the tech ordered parts got them in he came back and put them in still same problem . So he orders more parts when they came he came back and put them and still same problem.so he ordered more parts .then I get a call from LG wants sales receipt before they would order part. About a week later I get call from repair tech this time it was not same repair company as before it was best service of america what a joke he was . Dirty 5hrs late he had with him 5 parts one was a new panel which is the screen. He saw what was wrong and said the parts would not fix it Tv bad .he wrote that on my paper work he didn't put any parts on tv and left. Weeks went by and no word on tv so I called LG they sait the tech said tv checked ok so I had fax the techs work order he left to LG . Weeks went by and I had to call again and LG had no copy of what I fax in so I did it all over again . They said that could not replace tv because I was only looked at twice.so they had some fly by nite company show up had on company van plain cloths put a USB drive in tv ad put on a video that did nothing then picture of red, blues, green . That has nothing to do with problem I'm having .called LG ant there tech told him to tell me nothing wrong then I didn't even get receipt that he was here so my freinds stay away from LG Smart Tvs

Brandsmart Usa in Miami, Florida - Lack of consideration for the customer

This is the second appliance we buy at Brandsmart and have problems, before we were able to return it because the problem was seen before the thirty days, but before that we bought another TV almost a year ago at Brandsmart store that is located in The Palmetto and 176, in Miami FLorida, this one we could not return it for having spent thirty days after the date of purchase, thank goodness we bought the extended warranty otherwise our money were lost, at this date the TV is out of service and when we call the customer service of this company, they said they would send a technician to check the TV, the technician took about three days to come and surprise something that we already imagined "they did not have the part in stock", took 15 days to come back with the part, but the "new" screen was already broken, again we have to wait now the other part comes, god willing it will not be in another 15 days. We called customer service wondering if there is something else could be done, and offered to take the TV and exchange it for something similar in the store or by one of similar value and they just said that was not possible. Wonder if these guys know one day left to take advantage of work is wasted money because we have lost three good working days, not counting obviously bought another TV because it's almost 20 days without television. My advice is try not to buy in a store where the extended warranty is a must and if you have to for some reason I wish the best of luck, because it is clear that they do not sell top quality products and have a terrible post sale service. This is a business just for them, your money does not count for this company and you're just another client, there is no consideration whatsoever to the problems they themselves cause.

My 60" LG TV broke three months after purchase. Dealing with LG customer Service was a nightmare. LG at first refused to repair or replace the TV in a timely manner. I actually had to threaten them with complaints to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) before they were "miraculously" able to locate a part they'd previously claimed was "not in stock". LG employees refused to return my calls and refused to provide me with the name and business address of their USA CEO so I could write to him directly. DO NOT BUY LG!!! I will never buy LG again.
