We bought an LG front loading washing machine. After three months of use, it flooded our floor costing us thousands of dollars in damage.
We were put on hold for hours with LG before finally speaking to a representative. They could hardly care less about the issue. They were rude and unhelpful. Their advice to us was to not use fabric softener which we never used in the first place.
We were told that someone would contact us in a week or two. Meanwhile we hired a company to remove water from the walls and floor. We then read many similar complaints online. We will just recycle the machine as we don't want anyone else to go through what we did.
According to many online reports, technicians have told costumers that they cannot guarantee that the machine will not cause more flooding! The company that we hired to fix the water damage said that the week before they had cleaned up a similar water issue that happened with a LG Front loading washing machine. This family was not home when it flooded and the damage was even worse than ours.
The washer is still under warranty. Go Figure...
