After spending $1,800 on a new washer and dryer my wife and I attempted to register our new equipment online at LG.com. We found that we could not.
What should have been a five minute task became an annoying and frustrating experience. After a few hours and two phone calls the issue remained unsolved. It was then that I discovered...through trial and error that the LG.com website will only function properly - i.e., let you register or log-in to your account, if you're using a PC with Internet Explorer.
For a high-tech company with a huge internet presence I find it incredible that in the 21st Century I cannot access my account using a Macintosh nor can I use my choice of browsers.
None of the people I spoke with in customer service or technical support would acknowledge this problem...although they all said they were willing to help me register over the phone.
