Lg Electronics in Rochester, New York - LG cares nothing for poor image

I have fought with LG for over a month to get them to stand behind their purported high-quality product image to no avail. I just installed a pair of LG laundry appliances the beginning of March 2011, and the dryer has not worked from Day One. Unfortunately, and what LG uses as their excuse for not standing behind their warranty, I purchased these units over a year ago and simply did not install them until now. Based on date of purchase only, they refuse to provide any service. The dryer is "dead." Thank goodness I used a credit card for the purchase which offers a "double manufacturer's warranty," so I now have to go through the hassle of getting reimbursed for the cost of the service call and repair instead of LG accepting responsibility for an obviously defective dryer. I will NEVER purchase LG appliances again.....ever, ever, ever.

Lg Electronics in Branford, Connecticut - Brand new LG dryer and aready broken

bought LG gas dryer at Best Buy in October 2010 and already broken. Dryer was completely dead. The only thing working was the light bulb inside when you open the door. The Store service man came to fix but could not get dryer to work. His next step was to order the control board to see if that is the problem. However, I am still without a dryer. This should not happen with a brand new dryer. This is not acceptable since a dryer is a mayor appliance and should last for a long time without breaking. Dryer was replaced because the old (new dryer) had similiar problems that would not work properly

Lg Electronics in Phoenix, Arizona - LG rebate. No rebate after 11 weeks

When i called the rebate center they said it would take 6 to 8 weeks after their approval date which is 8 weeks after they received it.So it appears that all in all I will have to wait 16 weeks before the rabate can be expected. After I long hold time I finally reached a customer service rep who either had heard the same song all day or simply did not care. Will also write to Home Depot since the paperwork they give out on behalf of LG is misleading. Delivery and installation were great and the washer and dryer work fine. Vaccuum is very heavy and not worth the $400.00
