I can certainly understand your frustration trying to get your refrigerator repaired. This is definitely not the kind of customer service we expect our consumers to receive.

Yep can’t return it. Best you can do is contact the manufacturer and claim the manufacturer warranty.

They may or may not replace it but it’s your only shot. Home Depot can’t take it back it’s beyond the return timeframe. That doesn’t make HD bad. That’s just the way it is.

After 6 weeks any problems are between you and the manufacturer and HD has zero liability in the situation. Why is it that you people always blame the retail seller? How would HD have had any idea that 6 weeks after you purchased the appliance it would have problems?

They can’t, they couldn’t, and no one is given the gift of clairvoyant ability when they are hired. So when these situations arise you always get a hold of the manufacturer as they are the only ones who have ANY liability.

I purchased a French 4-Door Refrigerator ($4000) from LG in March 2016 and 18 months later it has died. LG sends a tech to replace the Compressor and another part and it dies 2 weeks later. Tech came back out and says it may be a leak within the walls of the fridge and leaves. I call LG to request to have replaced and they said NO that my fridge doesnt qualify to be replaced and they want to send a Tech out a 3rd time. Meanwhile I missed Thanksgiving without a fridge and I'm not guaranteed I'll have one for Christmas. Absolutely the worst customer service EVER! and the I would NEVER purchase another LG product again. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR A BUY SAMSUNG!!!!

Bought a 2700 dollar french door refrigerator. Makes ice, you can hear it, but won't release. Countless phone calls and even an attempt a blue tooth reset. No repair persons in area. One number, guy said he hasn't worked on LG in over a year. Other number was 350 miles away. Final resolution is they are going to replace unit. They'll call on Friday. Another day put on hold because of their gross inefficiency. There is noi more chance. If it doesn't work properly, give me my money back. I expect LG to process my issue as fast as they took my money

The LG service process is a disaster as there is no one in the chain of a service that can deliver properly to the customer. Brand new refrigerator bought yet refrigerator was not working properly. Six weeks still without use of my refrigerator. Four weeks to get an Appliance Repair company schedule, two weeks waiting for a part and complete lack of cooperation from LG customer service department and executive services teams. Only through my investigation do I know their outsourced agent failed in their responsibility to provide a proper repair company. Their repair company now wants to no longer work with them too. Now LG is blaming their service company (Service Power) and vice versa. Yet as of today, no parts and refrigerator still not working.
