Lg Electronics - LG Canada = HORRIBLE RUDE INEFFECTIVE customer service

Called LG customer service. They are just awful to deal with. The guy talked to me like I was a complete *** and insinuated I hadn't read the troubleshooting in the manual even though I clearly told him the steps I'd taken to remedy the situation. He was completely obnoxious and wouldn't even entertain giving me a number of a repairman until I tried two more things - SOOOO that meant I had to call BACK?? They are located in panama - HORRIBLE phone lines, they sound like they have marbles in their mouths and they repeatedly ask for the same information. As if they can't understand clear english. Then they give ONE company as an option for repair for ALL of the GTA. You call it and the guy sounds like he has never run a business before and claims he works til 4pm?? No 24 hour service or even option to get a call back for emergencies. I will NEVER EVER EVER buy an LG product again. They have the worst customer service. As a matter of fact I'm tossing these out (would love to burn them as a symbol of how pissed I am) and buying a whole new brand. LG should not be sold in canada.

Mar 31st, 2011 - purchased an LG LuV200R vacuum. March 15, 2013 - vacuum began to have issues with beater bar. The bar would stop any time you pulled backwards on the vacuum. I suspected that the reset switch went bad. Called customer service, they insisted that a new beater bar would solve the problem. 5-10 business days to get a new bar shipped to me. April 1, 2013 - New bar arrives, I install it, vacuum still has the issue. I call LG customer service, and they advise me they are sending shipping materials to send the vacuum in for service. 3-5 business days to get materials. April 11, 2013 - Vacuum arrives back after repair. Problem STILL exists, switch does not look like it was even replaced. I call Customer Service, escalate to corporate customer care, they still tell me I have to send it back to them (for a problem that should have been fixed in the first place). I ask about the Authorized Repair center listed 40min away, they tell me that I would have to pay out of pocket if I brought it in there and service would only be done under warranty if I ship it in. Now going to be going on 5 weeks without our vacuum in a house with 4 dogs, and at the start of allergy season. Had to buy another vacuum in the meantime just to maintain some level of clean, and LG refused to reimburse for that cost. Unacceptable that there is no alternative other than shipping the vacuum to them. Even more unacceptable that they didn't fix the problem the first time. Refuse to buy ANY LG product ever again.

I bought 4 LG aircondition sets for my new house last year. One of them had a problem. I called LG last August and they changed the compressor, and upon trials they discovered that capilliary is blocked. They tried to fix it but failed, so they took the external unit for repair. When they brought it back for installation, the problem was not resolved, so they took it again. This saga has been going since August last year, which means over 8 months now!!! I will post this complain on LG's website and FB page, so hopefully may ge a reply soon .. meanwhile, I know I will never buy an LG product anymore.

Lg Electronics in Colorado Springs, Colorado - LG Has The Worst Customer Service - Just Rude

I purchased an LG WT5101HV washer less than 2 years ago along with an extended warranty. The washer blew out a month ago and since then we have been trying to get a part and get the washer repaired. The first repair man came out and didn't even have the tools to take it apart. He guessed at what it needed and left. After a week of waiting (still no parts), I checked on line and found out the washer was recalled. I called LG who cancelled my parts order because it was now a recall repair. They scheduled a guy to come out and when I talked to him he told me that he couldn't come because he didn't have authorization because I have an extended warranty. Great. So I'm stuck between a repair and a recall. Today, I just spoke with them and we are another week out for the recall part. That does not include the broken part which LG cancelled. When I called LG I talked to Mike in the Customer Service Repair. He was plain rude, by telling me I deserved a gold star for waiting so long, but it didn't make him do it any faster. When I asked to speak to a manager he told me they were all on the phone. I said I would wait and he said they didn't have a ***. I said are you telling me I can't speak to a manager - he said "that is correct". After all this run around and no parts yet I simply do not ever want to work with them. I also want my money back. One more thing. LG did not send out a recall notice until after mine broke. According to the repair man the cause of the breakage was the the recall.

Sen ta two month old LG 855 marquee in for minor issue that couldn't be resolved over the phone(wifi menu couldn't be accessed, everything else worked flawless.) Phone was returned after 10 days completely unusable. saying it was unrepairable. First CSR was completely useless, his only answer was we cannot do that.I then asked to talk to a supervisor and after an hour of negotiating he agreed to bring the phone back in to repair it to the state in which I initially returned it(working) but said it would not be repaired completely and maybe not at all.WTF Bottom line is I sent in a working phone in mint condition for a minor factory defect and got back a completely unusable $250 paperweight. LG insists that it is my fault.

Lg Electronics in Middletown, New York - Vacuum cleaner Broke after 7 months

My LG vacuum cleaner broke down after 7 months, I called the company to see where to take it to get it fixed for the warranty. This vacuum cleaner has a five year parts and labor warranty, well just my luck there are no service repair people in my area. I get the pleasure of waiting for a box to be sent to me I then get to send in my vacuum and wait for it to be repaired and sent back. This could take up to 3 weeks & I vacuum daily. A fried of mine who repairs vacs, could do it, but since he is not an authorized LG repirman he can't because that would void my warranty. He used to sell the LG vacuums in his shop, but he said that so many people started complaing about the customer service with LG, he stopped selling them. He heard that the particular model I have has had a lot of problems, just my luck. We need to start a class action lawsuit!

Lg Electronics in Calgary, Alberta - LG will not honour warranty

My LG fridge compressor system failed after 3.5 years .The warranty is 7 years on the compressor system.The repair people can not repair it because the leak could not be found.All that LG will offer is 650.00 towards a different fridge or 1300.0 towards another LG product - Fridge cost 2500.00. They conjured up a prorated payment formula that is not in the warranty. All I want is the fridge fixed but now I have to purchase new fridge .The people at LG executive services must get paid by how many warranties they refuse.The only solution is to replace the fridge . I would never recommend LG to anyone .

Dear sir, Would like to bring to your notice that in the month of June 2012, my LG Whisen series 1.5T (Window AC purchased in 2006) was sent to LG Service Centre (Hi End Solutions, Dwarka), Delhi, India during June 2011. As a Company of Repute, I'm sure that LG Technical Service Engineers are fully trained & committed and it's their principal duty and obligation to highlight all foreseen & predictable irregularities (prior to undertaking any repair & maintenance work on any product) and also guide to the Customer, so that an appropriate decision on the product repair or replacement may be taken. Though I wanted to go for Exchanging this AC with another LG product but based on your Service Engineer confidence after thorough evaluation and checking the AC, your advised me an estimated repair cost of Rs. 5000/- and assured me that after this, this AC should be alright and good for subsequent usage. Based on their assurance, I agreed to send my Window AC for repair & I paid Rs.4740/- (as per attached retail invoice # 2331 dtd. 25th June 2012). At the time of delivery, LG Service Engineers reasonably assured me about its good working condition & advised me of all the Regular Warranty features. Incidentally in less than two months, the AC stopped functioning & on bringing it to the notice of the Service Engineer (Mr. Ankit, Mob: +91-9910985547) on 10th August, he without actually visiting the site or checking the AC, advised me on the Telephone, that the Compressor of the AC has faulted. This actually become a major concern for me & gives me a suspicion that probably the Service Engineer was "˜fully aware' of this fact that the Compressor of the AC was weak and still, instead of highlighting the problem earlier, they carried out the repair work, made me pay for the "˜unnecessary repair' and later very casually announced to me about failure of the Compressor. I fail to understand that if the Compressor was weak, why was this not brought to my notice, when this AC was sent for repair to LG workshop two months back in June 2012. Until last week, I was a satisfied LG customer & myself used many LG Electrical equipments (used 3 different Washing machines at various intervals) and always recommended LG products to all my friends & family in light of LG prompt & professional after sale service, but in less than a week time, I myself get stuck with this adverse episode which completely changed LG's image in my mind and I am actually feeling sad to have recommended such a brand, where the service people takes advantage of their own customers by keeping them in dark. With no fault at my end, I am forced to incur unexpected repair cost of ~ Rs.5000/-, and now once again I am left with the AC which is not in a workable condition and all this, due to fault committed by your Service Engineers. This matter has been brought to your notice so that an appropriate action deem fit may be taken and I look forward receiving your valued advice on this matter. I own a LG Clothes Washer, model WM0624HW/01. The direct drive motor supposedly had a 7 year warranty on it. The rotor has plastic (!) splines in it that attach to the drum shaft to wash and spin the clothes. It (of course, it's plastic!) stripped out after 3 years of normal household use. I contacted LG to get a replacement (I have been repairing appliances for 20+ years professionally, I KNOW what I am doing), they absolutely refused. They said: "Thank you for contacting LG Electronics. I am delighted to hear from you as our valued customer and I will be glad to answer your concern. I apologize for the inconvenience you're having with. Drum motor such as stator, rotor and hall sensor has a seven year warranty from the date of purchase. Yes, the motor is still in warranty as I checked based on the serial number you provided. The washer has a 1 year warranty for parts and labor from the date of purchase but has exclusion for warranty of other parts as stated in the warranty page in the owner's manual. For the replacement of the said part, it should be done by one of our LG technicians or authorized service technicians. The technician will order the part for you as soon as the unit is checked upon technicians visit, or will install it for you if the part is available upon service visit. Let me provide our rates for the labor. For LG technicians: Diagnosis - $89Minor repair - $150 + tax & partsMajor repair - $225 + tax & parts I apologize I don't have the information for the rate fee for our authorized service technician, they have different rate scheme than our own LG technicians. I hope I was able to help you with your concern. If you have other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us again either via email, or by calling our customer service division at 800-243-0000 at your convenience. Thank you for choosing LG! AlbertLG Customer Service" I called Albert and told him I was a qualified appliance repair person, and it only took me 10 minutes to diagnose and remove the offending part, please just send me the part. He absolutely refused. In order to get it replaced under warranty, I would have to spend $239.00 in labor. The part is available to me wholesale for $73.11, and it will take me 5 minutes to replace it. Of course I will *** the bullet and buy the part myself. What gripes me is that the part is under warranty but I cannot get the part. LG has figured out a way to screw me out of the warranty they supposedly provide. Even worse, the replacement part is "new and improved" with METAL splines in it, proving LG knew there was a problem and are refusing to do anything about it Bottom line: I will never, ever buy anything from LG ever again. LG = Latest Garbage. This is not the first LG appliance I have had problems with, but it WILL be the last.

Lg Electronics in Athens, Georgia - LG defective dryer/washer; terrible customer service

This is the first time I have registered a complaint online. I have in the past been impressed with LG electronics so unknowingly I purchased a dryer and washer from LG hoping that these units would be stable units. Unfortunately, the dryer was defective within 6 years and similarly the washer had developed defective parts. I followed the recommendations of LG and had service to the home. They were 'sears' technicians according to LG suppposedly they could send 'LG techs'; but htey never did. After more than five visits and replacing almost every part of the dryer it still did not work. The washer parts needed to fix the unit were ordered and what was sent were not the proper parts because their parts suppliers are independent companies. After weeks and months of frustration, I contacted corporate LG including the CEO in Alabama, Young-Ha-Lee, who never responded to any of my letters and concerns. I was deferred to 'customer service' which was a joke. They refused to help even with the most basic efforts such as sending me the basic parts for the washer or sending a LG tech to repair the dryer (or even replace the dryer which basically was a lemon). So, after $2000.00 and only a few years of functional units (unlike my Kenmore which still works after 25 years), I am left with two large paperweights in my home. We have since been forced to purchase a new dryer and washer, of course, from another, better company. I found LG appliances to be totally worthless unable to stand the test of time and use. However, the response from the company at the corporate and customer service level was abysmal. I would recommend to all people contemplating purchasing a LG product, BEWARE, do your due diligence, and purchase from another company. Ths company does not care about the consumer so do not give them your money!!!!
