DON't buy an LG phone | Lg Electronics in Atlanta, Georgia

I bought an LG phone no more than 2 months ago and it does not work properly already. My volume doesn/t work so I can't hear those who call me and I can not receive any picture messages. After calling LG I rcvd no help. I was told that their *** manufacture warranty will not cover for me to ship the phone to them. I have to pay to ship it to them. Wait for them to fix or replace it which could take weeks.. meanwhile I have no phone. and I still have to pay the phone bill while I do not have it.. All because they sold me a phone that DOES NOT WORK!!!! How is that fair?? I will never buy an LG phone again because apparently the products are CHEAP and the so called warranty id RIDICULOUS! I just wanted to share this with the world. DONT BE FOOLED!

LG WM2240CW front load washer | Lg Electronics in Rochester, Minnesota

Hot water comes out cold in the cotton cycle. LG knows this is a design flaw and reponds with saying there is something wrong with your water heater. They will not pay for service to look at it when it is under warranty. I think all people who own this have this problem but just haven't checked their water temperature when set to warm or hot in the cotton cycle. The manager I talked to was noce to me until he went to find more info and obviously was then told to tell me it was not their washer but my water heater. Funny but the water heater worked fiine for all other cycles. This is a design flaw they will not admit. They cost me $111 to have a service person look at it.

Hmmm maybe the TE code is temperature related?

I had called LG customer service line and trouble shooted the intermittent problem of a "TE" code coming on before the spin cycle. After trying to unplug the machine, turn off breaker, etc. they recommended that I have a service technician from XXXX come out to fix the problem. I had a technician from XXX came out to my home on July 23rd to fix my LG model# WM2487HWM Serial # 703KWCF00027.

My machine would stop before the final rinse with a "TE" code, which did not occur each time I would wash a load.

The service technician had the thermistor replaced Part # 6322FR2046C? and he tested it and the same problem occurred so he took the part out (my husband saw him take the part out and put back the original part) and did some other maintenance? It worked. I paid him for the part and the service call $174.98

Shortly after that repair (about three days later) I put it on heavy soiled cycle and the same "TE" code came up. So I know it was not fixed. My son had an accident and was hospitalized so I was not doing too much laundry in August.

The problem seems to be intermittent and has been increasing in frequency. This past week I had the code come up twice (one during a Sterilization cycle and once in a Normal cycle but stain added). It is obvious that the original problem is not fixed. No parts were replaced and no problem was diagnosed.

I contacted XXXX and they said since it is more than 30 days they would have to charge me again to come to diagnosis the problem plus any parts.

I sent an email letter to LG customer service whose response was:

“Hello Yvette Nechvatal-Drew.

Regretfully this issue will require an inspection by an LG authorized technician to determine the cause. Please call our customer service line at 1-888-542-2623 to schedule a service call.

I called the 1-888-542-2623 and was connected to Lewis ID # 7408. I explained the problem to him that the machine was never fixed and he suggested that XXX technician could come out to look at the machine. I told him that I already paid $174.98 to XXX and the problem was not fixed. Lewis was not helpful, understanding or polite. He did not offer me any solutions. He said the machine is five years old and LG is a business. This comment made me upset and I explained to Lewis that my previous Frigidaire Model FLC-270 lasted 19 years before we decided to replace it with this LG model and the Maytag before that lasted 25 years. I told Lewis that I thought I called customer service to receive excellent customer service and I was not feeling valued as a customer. As his comment that LG is a business I also explained to him that LG just does not sell washing machine but other products and as a customer not receiving service they will think twice before purchasing a television, refrigerator, home electronics, etc.. And they will also let their co-workers, family, business partners know about the poor customer service they receive. That is why I called LG customer service to help solve my problem not just say I can pay again for a technician to come out and not solve the problem again and again. Lewis did not offer any solutions.

I inquired about the ONE PRICE program as this was never mentioned to me before and asked if I could pay the difference from the $174.98 already paid to have this offer. He said no because it is after 30 days and that I can pay $201 + taxes for XXX to come out but after 30 days I would have to pay another $201 + taxes if the problem persists. Can you explain to me how this is customer service?

I am a LG customer and have purchased several appliances (including 2x bottom freezer refrigerator (Model LDN20718, Blue Ray player and a possibility for a future dishwasher).

I am very disappointed with your customer response.

Model L226WTQS I called LG at phone # 800-243-0000 and advised that I was having an issue with the monitors blue light flickering and the monitor not going on. Its a common issue with this model as I have found many consumer complaints online regarding this. LG would not fix it without a charge to me. They told me to mail it to them and they would fix it for a fee of $100.00. Since this is an internal issue with this model, I feel they should fix it at no cost to the consumer. Needless to say that the warranty has expired. It would cost the same amount of money to purchase a new one. Buyer beware... Purchase at your own risk

LG insists the laptop is ok despite it shows BSOD and restarts automaticaly | Lg Electronics in Manama, Al Manamah

I have an aging problem with LG Bahrain (Middle East) through which they have shown a very very low standard of customer service, that caused me so far a big loss of time, energy and money. I purchased my new LG A520 laptop at Bahrain in Dec 2011. In Feb 2012, the laptop started showing the blue screen (physical memory dump) followed by automatic restart. This problem was frequent, but intermittent. It did not relate to certain occasions. But fortunately, all of these discrepancies were clearly logged on the Windows Event Viewer. I delivered the laptop to the local LG service center (AJM Kooheji). The service center stated that they "updated some outdated drivers". It's important here to note that the laptop was delivered back to me in a very dirty condition, and its LCD border panel damaged. The service center promised to replace the damaged panel within 20 days. Two months later, same exact problem occurred again. I took the laptop again to the service center, to fix the problem and to replace the panel that was not replaced after TWO MONTHS. I provided them copies of screen shots showing the problem logged in Windows Event Viewer to help them do the proper troubleshooting. I also asked for a repair report to state what exactly was the reason of the problem and how it was fixed. The service center replaced the damaged panel, and delivered the laptop after doing complete format and Windows reinstall. No repair report was provided. Several days later, after I spent days reinstalling all my applications, same exact problem appeared again (blue screen followed by restart). Again I provided screen shots, and took the laptop to the service center for the third time. I explained to them that it is obvious that no proper troubleshooting was done, and that the problem will keep occurring. I asked for a refund since this was the third time the same problem occurs within the warranty period. After several days, the service center advised that the laptop is now serviceable after again doing format and Windows reinstall. They also said that the problem is caused by absence of anti-virus, although I never ran my laptop without the anti-virus (either AVG or AdAware Antivirus). They finally said that one of my software (Hotspot Shield) is the cause of the problem, although the software is used all over the world and with me personally for years on other computers, let go that the problem used to occur not during the operation of this software. In addition, during the previous two repair visits, they never mentioned anything about the Hotspot Shield, and they didn't simply uninstall it. They kept doing format all over again. I rejected to receive the laptop back and asked for refund or replacement. During that long period, I have been manipulated between the service center and sales department to find a person that can properly represent LG to be able to approve a refund or a replacement. I had to tell my story to lots of people, starting from Mr. Dilip, to his supervisor Mr. Shaji, to their manager Mr. William, to the sales representative Mr. Fayyaz, to his manager Mr. Ali Akbar. All of them claimed that they do not have the authority to approve a repair or a refund after three successive occurrences for the same problem. I have sent lots of emails, and made tens of phone calls, most of which are not even answered.

LG LIERS THAT CAN NOT GIVE A STRAIGHT ANSWER | Lg Electronics in Dallas, Texas

I have purchased an LG dishwasher(LD2131SH). It started to make a big noise and i had the bearings replaced. A short while later it made the same noise. I called the helpline who said that it is a common problem. When I went to Greenstone they also said it is a common problem and were changing about 20 motors a week. LG has also changed the motor because of a faulty seal that also could not be bought. I have been told by LG that it is like a factory fault and were replacing the motors under warranty. unfortunately my warranty is over and being a factory fault I have to replce it myself. I wrote to LG, saying that I had it fixed and would like some sort of compensation, I was then told to book a service home call. Which to me does not make sense, cos the machine is already fixed. I also checked the unhappy/ get back to me button but to date there has been no response from Lg. I would like a response from LG> To date, I have had a response from Monica on the 01/06/2012 who could not give me an answer and promised that a manager would contact me..... still waiting Preggy Naidoo preggyn@yahoo.com 0823986579

LG LHB975 Home Theater System - Wireless Sucks | Lg Electronics in Plano, Texas

Purchased this system appx 1.5 years ago. Sent in 2 times, under warranty, because the wireless receiver in the subwoofer wasn't working. $69 for service, each time. It broke..a third time... This time they won't fix it. It's supposed to have a 1 year parts warranty, however LG is saying the 1 yr parts warranty is based off the date of purchase - not the date they last replaced the exact same part! The sad part is the customer service guys are actually sympathetic, but they are just an intermediary between the customer & somebody that made the decision about whether I ever buy another LG product very easy - I won't :)

Your not the lone ranger. I have the same problem with my LG LHB975.

The problem is the wierless card part #EBR65859702 in the back or sub. Can be easily replaced for around 60 bucks do it yourself, but it will just go out again. Another problem is that you can't find the wirless card in stock.

EVERYBODY WHO BOUGHT THIS SYSTEM HAS THE SAME PROBLEM... SHAME ON LG !!

LG Customer service SUCKS!!!! I purchased a 42" TV at the end of 2007 with a 4 year service contract.

After 4 years and 1 month it broke and LG will not assist in fixing the issue. The issue is a VERY common problem and I wonder why this television was not recalled!

Terrible product and terrible customer service at LG | Lg Electronics in Worcester, Massachusetts

Bought an LG range less than two years ago, while within the warranty period, the stainless on the stove suddenly rusted...stainless shouldn't rust. LG promptly replaced the area of concern. Now, the door doesn't close right and has caused all the knobs on the front of the stove to malfunction, they actually fall off while using the gas. This isn't safe, especially with two small kids in the house. All I wanted was replacement knobs, they approved us for parts, no service. I literally had to pay for one of their approved technicians to come to my house and say that the knobs were faulty before they would send us new ones!! After fighting repeatedly with their "executive service team" they finally agreed to send the knobs. But let me say, their customer service team is one of the rudest and unhelpful I have ever encountered. Stay away from LG!

LG Producst are questionable quality | Lg Electronics in Nampa, Idaho

We purchased a new LG dishwasher and within 3 months the pump went bad, then about 9 months later it went again. It does not do a good job of cleaning the dishes either. Well once warranty is out it will get replaced when it break again. Does anyone make a good dish washer out there that lasts? One more thing, you cant get just anyone to do a repair, they must be licesnced by LG or no work can be done and no parts are available. Thats fine when you have time to wait but not good when you need it done now!

LG never honored anything. I called them and they gave us a number to a repair company that did not have the part in stock.

So we had to resort to fixing a $1000.00 washer that was only 4 years old and pay $434.00 to have it fixed. As I said I will never buy another LG...

I paid lots of money for what I thought was top of the line. It wasnt even 2 years old when the dishwasher quit working.

It wouldnt turn on! I called them & they gave me their repairman's number. I called. It would be $150 for the guy to just drive to our house, then and additional $150-175 for labor.

What a joke. Never again will I buy LG.
