LG GAS STOVE PROBLEMS | Lg Electronics in New Jersey

Model LRG3095ST - 4 year old, 5 burner stainless gas stove interior (blue porcelain) is deteriorating, blue paint is chipping off, also glass in door, 2 panes inside is cloudy, cannot be cleaned (no access). The same thing happened 2 years ago to the blue porcelain which LG replaced under warranty. They refuse to admit there is a problem and denied further warranty coverage. Also, one of the top burners would not ignite, repaired under warranty. I also purchased an LG french door regrigerator, which developed a ripped door gasket, also purchased steam LG dishwasher which doesn't clean that great. BOTTOM LINE, DO NOT BUY LG APPLIANCES!

LG Customer Service horrible | Lg Electronics

it is not just that the fridge did not last 3 years. I get that anything mechanical can breakdown. It is the technician we paid $182 to come out and tell us that it is horrible fridge and that a replacement compressor would only break down in less than a year. $182 10 minutes diagnosis. compressor was still under warranty and LG 1-888-542-2623 customer service line is horrible. They are rude, deceptive and very aggressive. they simply want to make it so painful you simply go away with nothing. 7 business days to advise you of their policy and procedure on warranty. This is simply the worst experience I have ever encountered with any company and will never buy anything LG again.

Same problem here started after 2-3 years of ownership. They said it was because I spilled bleach around the dispenser.

Which I never spilled the bleach to rust it out.

Well now it has started behind the glass door under the controls which is no where near the bleach dispenser. No help at all from LG

Review | Lg Electronics

My husband purchased a LG2 phone from Sprint in Feb of this year well here it is 6 months later and the battery expanded causing the LCD screen on the inside to crack. We mailed the phone out, they received it, and automatically stated it was not a manufacturers defect. He called spoke to a supervisor who said they would recheck it. My husband spoke to a guy at LG who said it was fixed. We received it in the mail well it wasn't fixed. When he called back they said they had no documentation of the conversation. BS. If you have products that cost over $500, at the least make sure they last and if not honor your warranty. We will never by an LG product again. Sticking to iPhones from now on

Lg Electronics - Warranty Review

I purchased the Lg G2 phone brand new out of the box from Sprint in March 2014 & have not even had the phone 6 months& it stops charging. Took it 2 Sprint & was told it was a defect & they will replace it because I have insurance but with a refurbished phone. Called LG & the rep states I'll have 2 mail it in wait almost a week without a phone 2 see if their techs can fix it but if not & it's covered under warranty they will send me another phone but it will be refurbished also. I'm like what the ***! But when I purchased this phone I paid full price not refurbished price. If you can stay away from their product because the warranty *** is really a joke.

Dishwasher Failed and LG refused to honor warranty | Lg Electronics in Bellevue, Washington

I bought 4 appliances from LG and the dishwasher failed in 5 months. Because this was for a handyman tenant, I asked that he take a look at the installation and check for hoses, power, and etc. I also had a GE repair person take a look and since he worked at my company and I wanted a quick resolution. The GE repair person stated that the mainboard was bad but could not continue because it would void the warranty. I called LG and setup an appointment. They blew me off once and rescheduled. The second time, the LG person came and said that he will void the warranty because someone looked at it. I didn't see what we did that violated the warranty. The guy without opening the dishwasher or checking anything, said that the warranty was void. It looked like he was in a hurry or was incompetent. It seems to me that LG will not be standing behind their products. I would not recommend paying extra for their garbage. Just stick to what works. You may see many people with reviews that are positive. Most of these are folks who just got the appliance. Wait until several months when they have a problem and then they will be saying the same thing. Don't buy LG.

Refrigerator main panel failure | Lg Electronics

Product loyalty is worthless. We own 18 various LG products in our home, from cell phones to refrigerator and laundry. We had a small issue with the BRAND NEW REFRIGERATOR when we got it but that was a recall which was taken care of without interruption and by friendly service personal. I recently had the main panel on the same refrigerator go out (under 9 months of service). After calling LG and being put through the system I got to a service center. Four days later I was contacted for an appointment by a service personal (private business who subcontracts to LG). I explained to the service personal that it was actually an extreme situation and everything must be done as agreed because I was being released from the Hospital 1 hour before the appointment and must have my medication refrigerated. I was assured that everything would go as planned. The main panel had been sent to the service center the previous day and it is a 10 minute plug and play repair. Three and a half hours (3 ½) after the scheduled service time I started to make calls. It was as if I had never call in the first place, nobody had any records of ANYTHING. At this point I started to lose my composure. I explained that I had an illness for which I had just been in the Hospital. I needed my medication refrigerator to keep the incredibly expensive meds cold. I am a cancer patient and I explained this on the first but forgotten call. A second service subcontractor was called and he showed up. He was professional, knowledgeable and on time. He inspected the unit and agreed with what was explained to LG almost a week earlier. PROBLEM……..He wasn’t the one with the main panel and would have to get one from the manufacture ASAP. I felt like I was in a bad movie, so I had to ask………. Why can’t we just get the panel from the company that has already received one? It’s better to just get a new one because we don’t know how that panel had been handled. Actually I believe that there is a handling, warranty, and processing of warranty parts monies that wasn’t to be left on the table. Again the part needed is only a 10 minute install so I am sure handling the warranty part, pays more than the labor to do the job. Well here I am over 3 days later and living (literally) out of an ice chest. For years companies have made promises and claims as to what they were willing to do to EARN our business and then keep it. We as consumers have searched for the relationships that were strained by the box store mentality, I am sorry to say businesses have done everything to get product loyalty but what is needed is CUSTOMER LOYALTY. Let’s get back to the “Do what you say and say what you do” way of doing business so we can all have pride again. Biggest surprise, NO FOLLOW UP CALL FROM LG, HELLO

DVD/VTR player failed, both parts | Lg Electronics in Lexington Park, Maryland

My $300 LG RC897T DVD/VTR unit quit playing DVDs after about 1 year, just after the warranty expired; DVDs spun for minutes but would not read. The store I purchased it would not replace it, and the only advice LG's Customer "Support" had was to unplug and replug it, which had no effect. Now, after about three years, the video tape unit has also failed, just displaying snow when a tape is played. This is a completely independent part of the unit, and for it to also fail implies there is something fundamentally wrong with LG's design, manufacturing process, or inspection/test procedures, which they should be very concerned with fixing. But their Customer Service (manager Adrian) had no interest in inspecting the problem, which indicates such failures are routine and they just do not care. I advise other consumers not to purchase products from this company.

Stainless steel can get rust spots. If it is not rusted through, you can remove them with a little CLR.
