Lg Electronics in Miami, Florida - LG Washing Machine

We bought a new 2007 LG washing machine from Home Depot in late 2007. In 2010 it broke down. The LG repairman told us that the part that failed was a water pump manufactured in 2001!!!!!. Home Depot told us that's unacceptable and that a 2007 machine should not contain a 2001 part so central to the function of the machine. We contacted LG and were told too bad by both the telephone representative and a supervisor. Their attitude - the 1 year warranty had expired. No explanation for the use of a 6-year-old part without any disclosure. Be very careful if you buy any LG product, because you have no assurance that inside your new appliance arent lurking aging, out of date, parts that are waiting to break down.

Lg Electronics in Mumbai, Maharashtra - Poor Customer Care [LG-Washing Machine]

I have lodged a complaint (C1053118057) with LG for following matter. I purchased a washing machine from LG Dealer on 30th May which didn't work at all. They sent a surveyor who found some problem with power system and as such I asked to replace the product. They said it will be done soon. After this there was no call from LG. Whenever I tried to call, either the phone was off or it was never picked up. I found contact of call centre from web and called them and some how, after 10 days, reached the concerned person who said the product is not in stock and so select a different one. I selected new one which was to be shipped in a day or two. But again there was a break. When I contacted the person he said the new product has a dent(as if they had only one). He promised to send a new one in two days time but again no call for 5 days. When I called (17th day) the person said I will call back in morning. There was no call and when I called he doesn't pick up the phone.

I have had an authorized service agent working with LG technical support to fix this washing machine due to an error code (LE) during wash cycle. After two months and over $300 of parts and labor the service agent determined that the 5 year old washer was irreparable....

At approx. 6 years, our LG washer stopped spinning.

We called the service dept. of the store where we bought it. They tried replacing the main control/circuit board. Nothing.

They replaced the motor. Nope! They finally replaced the rotor & stator. Nada.

Finally, with LG tech support on the phone, they tracked it down to an electrical connector that had shorted out/wasn't making a good connection. Now, you might think that I'd be blaming LG. Actually, I fault the service vendor (Conn's, in Texas). It took them a month to find & fix the problem.

The washer seems to be working fine, so far. But, taking a month to repair it earned them a BBB complaint, and lost them a customer for life.
