I bought the frig approx. in April 09. Just before the end of 2010 the unit died. No power at all.
The mother board was the problem. It cost me $373.00 to replace it.
A $3.00 fuse that was hard soldered to the board was the problem.
Service people said they could not just replace the fuse. LG did not them replace the fuse.
It took about 2 weeks to get the new part. It's obvious the board was not a good design. It was made to make money on replacement parts. Imagine
if a fuse or circuit breaker in your house's electrical box could not be replaced & you had to replace the box.
I don't see a LG appliance in my future.
