I had a 2011 lg 42lk450-ub I bought it a few years ago. I was in my bedroom so only got a few hours of you each night.
Much to my surprise I herd a loud pop, I looked and smoke was coming from my tv. I pulled the plug, luckily the breaker had already tripped. The back of the tv in the light revealed the hdmi cable had melted to the plastic on the Tv. I opened it up to explore the damage.
I realize it’s an older model but If I’m suppose to throw out the tv before a certain time at risk of a fire I didn’t read that in the manual. I wanted to send an email to the company but the sites down for maitnance today.
I’d like to know what they will say or what they can do for me. Anyone else had this problem?
