My wife and purchased a new LG top load washer and dryer in August. After delivery, we used it and on the very first load the clothes came out unclean.

We tried several more loads over the next couple of weeks and the same problem occurred. The water did not even cover the clothes and some come out of the finished loads not even wet. We called the store complaining of the unit and they sent out their serviceman who investigated to find out that the washer was working as designed. However, he could see the problem and indicated it was a software issue that he could not fix suggesting we call LG.

We did just that and they indicated it was a known problem and the service people had turned the problem over to the engineering department with no resolution to-date. We demanded that LG either fix the machine and take it back. They refused. They gave us an authorized LG service agent for them to come out to investigate.

We called that number several times with no answer and no return of our calls.

We eventually were able to return the units to the store where we purchased the units and replaced them with Maytag units. They work perfectly.

No one should ever purchase another LG product as they don't stand behind their warranties nor is their service any good.

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

I didn't like: After sales service.
