Bought a $2000+ refrigerator after 8 years it just died. Spent days trying to get someone to repair it but there's no local techs and no one would touch it for less than $500. When I finally got someone to work on it they took 2 months to change the compressor and still didn't fix it. Then abandoned the whole thing. I called lg and they wouldn't honor the parts warranty. They insisted I pay another technician to contact them or they wouldn't honor the warranty which is running out fast. I don't have another $500+ to fix this poorly made peace of junk. The 35 year old unit it replaced is still running on my back porch, there's no excuse for such crap.

My LG refrigerator has stopped cooling. A registered LG technician says it needs 3 parts, all of which are under warranty...except that one of them has been discontinued and the appliance cannot be repaired!

I have spent hours on the phone with supervisors & have a CNN case #, but all they will tell me is that my case is under advisement and I will back in 7 days.

How can LG discontinue parts for machines that still have 4 years left on their warranty? How can they make it so that there is no way to escalate a case like this in the hottest part of the year?

Compressor went on Sears fridge. Had a local repair man come out and confirmed the compressor. I call Sears 2x and was told it was under warranty. Waited 3 wks., today sears comes out and said it's not under warranty. Sears repair said maybe LG would help since they are have many, many problems with the compressors. LG said to call Sears. Job would cost almost $1,000. Really? I'll call BBB, Attny general and write some reviews. I want LG to repair the compressor and I will not pay for the compressor since I was told it's under warranty. HELP!!!!

Same story as ours. Will send another tech out, never happens and was told and approved for a replacement (call center is in the Philippines) then was denied saying another tech needs to look at it.

No one in our area will do warranty work...after 8 weeks, still not honoring their warranty which should be a repair or replacement in a reasonable time.

Hold times are ridiculous, I have also spent hours on hold waiting as you. Anyone looking at a LG appliance, DONT BUY LG!!

Their products break down and they refuse to fix them even under warranty. I've been trying for 4 months to get an AC that was less than 1 year old and only used for 2 months fixed. This company is a joke. I gave them everything they asked for - here's the new catch: your receipt from Walmart doesn't have the model number on it so we can't replace it. This B.S. after 4 months of customer service (NOT!) and 5 case numbers. The repair place they sent me to won't fix the unit and now LG won't replace it. I've never had such a RIDICULOUS experience in my entire life.

I have an LG fridge and call them for service, they decided to sell me the extended warranty then send someone down to look at my fridge and realized that the parts is discontinue. Now telling me they will refund my money -100 for the diagnosed fee which the agreement over the phone was " we will cover all that needs to be fixed on your fridge" now i have to be charge with 100 because they can't fix my fridge? i had to be on hold 3hrs and end up being hang up on 3 times. i can't believe this is service?? this is like oh i'll take your money and now we cant fix it .. i'll rob you and everything will be find???

FINALLY!!! Third time is the charm!

After 2 failed attempts the phone is finally fixed! I would still be careful about LG products!!!

I bought a LG G Stylo back in December 2015 from a local carrier. I thought I had made a good choice as far as features and price. It worked wonderfully for 6 months and then began having... issue.... The final straw was that it would not connect to any cell phone carries (mobile network). Obviously a cell phone that can not connect to a mobile network is sort of useless! I sent it into LG for repair. That entailed being tortured by their web site repair pages and printing out a Fedex label. Then I had to drive the 15 minutes to the nearest drop off location for Fedex. I took more then a week to get it to LG and then another two weeks for repairs. Then another long week to get it back... Once again it would not connect to any MOBILE PHONE NETWORK! Not quite sure what they repaired but it certainly was not the correct thing! This time I called LG customer service and complained about the repair service (or lack thereof). Again, I was issued a RMA number and instructed to print yet another label to send it in for repair. One again I drove to the Fedex drop off location (what the *** do people without cars do???). Another month in sending, repairing and sending it back. Now comes the really good part.... !!!(DRUM ROLL)!!! It STILL would not connect the any MOBILE PHONE NETWORK! So, I had a very expensive Android 5.7" tablet!!! For the third time I called LG repair service and this time demanded to speak to a supervisor. More then 15 minutes later a "Supervisor" responded. Once again I was instructed to send it in for repair which puts me out by forcing me to drive and drop it off once again! I am not hopeful... I expect to get a "still" broken and completely useless smart phone (although a terrific small stature tablet)!! I am completely over LG and their service. If the phone is not repaired or - better yet - replaced I will call the Attorney General of Texas and lodge a consumer complaint about their horrible customer service and fraudulent warranty repairs. I hate to warn you away from LG products since I have had other LG products that are wonderful and a great price. HOWEVER, if that wonderful and inexpensive technology happens to break down you are S.O.L. (ask someone what that means).
