Spent over $10K and LG obviously couldn’t care less

Have tried reaching out to LG on multiple occasions. Between our electronics, washer and dryer and all of the appliances in our home, everything is LG. Dryer drum completely separated, as in it cracked at the weld points. This was a top of the line unit, the most expensive option Best Buy offered. Luckily warranty covered it but it was a giant pain. I had never had a dryer do that let alone one that was practically new. Washer broke out of warranty more times than I can count, LG refused to help. After spending more in repairs than the dryer was worth, I gave up and bought the cheapest Amana I could find and it’s been an amazing washer for years. Now after my ice machine breaking, and now the refrigerator no longer cooling I paid $95 just for the repair guy to tell me the compressor is broken and it will cost $1,100 to fix?????? I tried to ask for an out of warranty exception from LG given my loyalty but they refused! You think after spending over $10,000 in electronics and appliances they would appreciate me as a customer more. They offered to send a tech out to repair at 100% my cost or give me a 20% discount on another fridge!!!! Never again LG!!! I’m embarrassed by how much money I have spent with you and how many customers I’ve sent to you!

I'm sorry to hear that you experiences with LG are equally as bad as mine. We purchased 4 LG phone which came with 4 LG TV's one of the TV's was smashed upon delivery. We've been trying for over one month to get it replaced, but can't even get anyone who speaks english to get on the phone.

It’s a horrible company/people. Defective leg on our TV broke causing the TV to topple-if a child would have been in front of it when it fell it would have been catastrophic. LG called the person that was sent to our home to take pics a liar-that the TV could not have fallen u less we had done something to the legs.

The guy I finally got spoke English with a definite Filipino accent. He just kept telling me that they had to come in and evaluate the problem, order the parts and then fix it, after I told him that we already replaced it with another brand. I told him that since it is a design flaw, I was just opening myself up to another fire if I had it fixed..

I've had two (2) LG refrigerators in the past three years! They do NOT stand behind their product at all.

I've had to rent a refrigerator while they find a recalled compressor which they did not notify any customer about.

Also, they refuse to reimburse my rental expenses plus nothing for ruined food. ALL of the appliance repair people where I live refuse to work on any LG product for good reason it seems!

We’re going through this issue as well right now..Refrigerator 2 1/2 years old, second time it went down , this time compressor is no good.. spent over 10 hours lost on the phone , lost food and now they want us to wait 4-6 weeks to maybe hear from someone to be compensated. We’re still in The middle of a pandemic , during summer with no fridge..we’ve never posted anything negative about anyone or company but this is the worst customer service, lack of transparency and service policies we’ve ever experienced with absolutely no sense of humanity whatsoever..The public needs to be informed about LG before they intend on purchasing any of their products!

We are having problems with our French door refrigerator freezer. This is the 4th failure.

Before it was mainly the ice maker. Technician comes and puts a Band-Aide on it so it works a while. Then here is the problem again and again and again. Technicians and Band-Aides.

You pay for an extended warranty and all you actually get is an extended Band-Aide until your time runs out and then you personally have to pay for the service calls and parts. We haven’t gotten that far yet but it’s pretty clear that’s what they are aiming for. Instead of a buy out, which we were told we would get after 3 times, we are yet being scheduled for another service call. That in and of itself is ridiculous and insulting.

LG could care less. Once you purchase these inferior products they become your problem. I am planning on contacting Consumer Reports and telling them our story. My food has all spoiled once again and no ice for over two weeks.

Stinking refrigerator, etc. We have used a cooler on and off ever since we bought this unit. The last failure was around October and the cooler is waiting on the patio for yet another episode of play LGs refrigerator game. This time we refuse.

They insultingly will reimburse for $300 of groceries. At least that’s what they say. No way will we apply for this and have yet another run-around from LG. Their corporate big wigs are unsympathetic to the point of arrogance and could care less attitudes.

Wait until LG lays them off with a severance package. These people actually think the big companies actually care about them and they go all out for them.

Then WHAM, right out of the blue they give them the boot. Well, what goes around comes around, right?

LG refrigerators are notorious for premature compressor failure. In premature failure I mean in less than a year in some cases.

LG washers and dryers may look all high tech and shiney, sparkly on the outside, but they're poorly built and engineered. LG used to manufacture expensive vacuum cleaners needless to say those were absolute junk. The only LG appliance that I own, that I can say has been reliable, is a portable room air conditioner. I have a Whirpool Duet front loader washer and dryer that I've owned for 15 years.

I have never owned a more trouble free washer and dryer like my Whirlpool. They were manufactured in Germany in 2005. Excellent machines in every way, and I use them nearly everyday.

In my view the best appliances available today are made by Whirpool, Kenmore, GE, Kitchenaid and Maytag. Of course if you've got a lot of money Sub Zero and Viking are the Rolls Royce's of the home appliance industry.

$10,000 means nothing to a giant multinational corporation like Lucky Goldstar. It's less than one second's worth of production at some far east factory. To us, it's our hard earned money ; to them, just another fish in the sea.

Poor Quality for the Price

My husband &;;;;;;;;;;;; I purchased an upscale LG Refrigerator in 2018 and beginning in 2020 had one repair bill after another until April 2021 when we disposed of it. I was so disappointed due to the fact I thought we had purchased the Taj Mahal of Refrigerators & it was a lemon.I will be writing to the Corporate Office with a detailed report of same.

Terrible Service - LG Microwave

We purchased an LG Microwave on 7/10/19 SKU# 1001-63*-***. In April of 2021 it stopped working. Tried calling the customer service number at 1 80* ***-**** and after 14-17 minutes on 3 different occasions the call was answered and then immediately hung up. Home Depot (original purchase location) told # is an overseas # and the hangup is nothing new. They gave me 1 86* ***-****. I called the new number and waited 24 minutes. Got to speak to Brian who told me I needed to speak to someone else and started the process over. This is a JOKE.

User's recommendation: DO NOT BUY LG! Whirlpool has better customer service, they actually answer the phone.

French Door S/S Counter Depth Refrig/Freezer

I WILL NEVER BUY AN LG PRODUCT AGAIN. We moved into a new home 6 years ago and purchased all new appliances, including a 21 cu ft French Door S/S counter-depth refrig/freezer. It worked fine for about 5 months and then the back panel of the fridge started icing up. Compressor finally died....too much $ to fix it.

User's recommendation: DO NOT PURCHASE AN LG PRODUCT...THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE AS WELL!!

Failure to live up to written agreements.

For the past two weeks LG consumer complaints and support have told me their support computers are not operating. It's been over 3 weeks since they promised to replace a lint dryer filter that somehow melted to a sharp point that damaged three items of clothing. I was told that there was no need to show any proof of purchase and that item has shown to be problematic from a number of people, so there would be no charge for service call no charge for parts or labor. 2 weeks later after trying to live up to that agreement they tell me they've revoked what they agreed to.

User's recommendation: Make sure you have a service provider that can service whatever period of time you have under warranty or extended warranty and definitely get extended warranty. Do not take the word of anybody without having it put in writing prior to buying any LG product.

Poor quality and poor customer experience from LG electronics

I bought an LG refrigerator (model: LPXS30866D) and have been using it for about 3 years. Two weeks ago, the refrigerator started not functioning, failed to work and provide cold/freeze temperature, and my food went bad. It is a 10-yaer warranty appliance, I called LG customer service, they were not trying to help the customer, they thought I was there to make a claim for money. They didn't want to send a technician to fix the product or let you know how this problem can be solved. Very bad customer experience, poor quality, not recommend to others.

Unacceptable experience

I am in Ecuador - in October 2019 I purchased an LG microwave (model MS1536GIR) from an authorized dealer for $190. In February of this year it stopped working (16 months). After some quest I found an authorized repair service. The repair service wants $193 to repair the unit - which is still available to purchase for $190 from the dealer. The repair service says it failed because of rust. My last microwave lasted nine years and did not fail because of rust. This unit was installed correctly. Aside from the idiotic irony of purchase/repair cost - a microwave should last longer than 16 months.

Have no care for there customers

Had the french door refrigerator made by LG purchased at PC RICHARDS AT BELLMORE STORE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not even 2 years the freezer went lost $1.000 worth of food had a service contract with PC RICHARDS WHO BUY THE GOT US NO A DIME FOR OUR LOSS OF FOOD !!!!!!!!! OR CARED !!!!! 3 WEEKS uses a cooler !!!!!!!!!!!! Now we have had 3 times ice make doesnt work !! Sent 3 servise peop;e one was tired the other two needed more schooling !!! I wouuld not recommend either !!!! Still no ice !!!!!!

Worst Service and Support

I really unhappy with the lukewarm response for support and after sales service. I bought 2 invertor ACs on 29th Aug 2020. Last month March 1st Week booked the preventive maintenance call. After so many remainder, your support engineer came and attended. Serviced one AC and found out 2nd AC outlet tube having damage. He told that he will order the parts and will come back in three days. Till now he is not responding. So I booked the another call on 4th April. Again another Engineer called and he told that he will come and see the AC. So far not coming. So AC is ideal for last 40 days because if switch on the AC, getting water leakage. I promise to never buy LG again and I recommend everyone to avoid this company at ALL cost!!

Refrigerator.. Circut board died with in 6 weeks Washer...pump Dryer...knock on wood, no issues yet! Dishwasher... Circut breaker and or wires shorted out!

Frustrated

Purchased 4 major appliances and 2 of them have had control panel issues, one a pump issue and the last one is still running, knock no wood! Quality is very inferior and definitely will not consider replacing with LG brand.
