After just 4 1/2 months of use, our LG front load washer model wm3170, started thumping. Not that noticeable, but it got progressively worse until it started walking (and blocking the door).

So I emailed LG customer service who did call me. After trying all the troubleshooting, and trying the 'smart diagnosis' (which diagnosed nothing), I called again. Now, I don't have a lot of free time to spend doing a appliance technicians job, so it took a week or so to get it done. I was still using the machine.

LG customer service was somewhat helpful-she put in the request for repair after I went through 15 minutes of repeating the troubleshooting with her. She emailed the repair info to me and I thought the repair shop would be calling me.

Shorter story-almost 2 weeks ago I was told I had a warped drum and needed a new gasket & he had put in the 'approval' request for parts. Nothing yet.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Preferred solution: Fix the machine .

I liked: How clean my clothes were.

I didn't like: That i need to repair a new machine.
